It was ok - wouldn’t rush back

Reception area was lovely and location was very convenient

Toilet kept flushing all night, bedroom was sooo hot. Bar staff not pleasant and we seemed to be an inconvenience. Asked for a carry out breakfast as needed to leave at 6:30 a ham salad sandwich wasn’t really great for breakfast 😢 drink glasses from room service weren’t taken away and beds weren’t made up properly .

All v good bar heat of bedrooms

Clean. Lovely staff. Groundfloor facilities v good. Good good.

The bedroom had no aircon and It was v hot , the fan provided helped but I was shocked to find 13.5 winter quilts on the beds…. Way too hot for summer. A mini fridge would be a big benefit in the rooms.

The best place we have stayed in Ireland in 2025!

We booked last minute as we stopped in Mullingar town on our way back to Dublin. The weather was close to 30° and we had a 3 month old baby with us so decided to stay. From start to finish it was excellent! The hotel itself, the food, the bar, the garden area, everything was absolutely brilliant but above all were the staff. They couldn't do enough for us. We had spent the previous night in a "5 star venue" in another county and this hotel was head and shoulders above it in every aspect. We cannot wait to return

Lovely hotel, awful Chinese restaurant.

Lovely room, good parking, good facilities.

The Chinese restaurant that is connected to the hotel was awful. The food was not cooked through, and my husband's Rengdang tasted like it was made with McDonnell Curry sauce. Our food came out very quickly which doesn't fill one with hope that it's cooked fresh. Go to the town for food, there are better options.

Beautiful hotel, service is slow

It’s beautiful hotel, the lobby and the decor is very stylish. Great pool and leisure area. The reception ladies were very helpful and had a swift check-in; they even managed to get us a room early.

The service is in food areas such as the bar and restaurant very slow. There was a lot of staff, but they were mostly running around looking busy but actually not getting any work done. The restaurant was particularly bad. Saturday night had max of 15 covers (including 2 of us) and it took 15 mins to get the mains ordered. The empty plates were sitting for 10/15mins and the concierge was hiding in the back, only popping his head out. There were two lads setting tables but only behind the dining area (again only looking busy). Then after getting the dessert menu and waiting a further 20 mins for the waitress to come back to us. We just did we would leave it. I wouldn’t like to see how hectic it would be with a fully booked night. Food was grand, little pricey for the lack of presentation, but overall wasn’t bad.

The hotel itself was nice but the rooms are in serious need of upgrades, specifically the bathrooms

It was so hot we almost left to another hotel that had AC. In all fairness it was very hot which is unusual but such a big hotel should have AC. The windows opened about 4 inches which let in no breeze. Staff at breakfast time were not nice and need to have a better attitude. It was like we were an inconvenience to them. We stayed in Killarney for 3 nights at Killarney Court Hotel and it was night and day in comparison

Room sizes not ideal for two people. Very little space once you have your luggage in your room. Also I do think that there could be sockets nearer the head of the bed along with a switch to turn on the lights.

The hotel lobby is very nice and has a wow factor to it. I enjoyed the pool area, it was of a good standard.

The reception staff throughout were far from friendly or welcoming. Its not much to expect a "hello" or a "good morning" The room was like a 2/3 star room from the 90s. very old and dated, one complementary bottle of water for a twin room?? an old smelly kettle and bare minimum drink selection. No air con and the windows barely open, it was like an oven, neither of us got a good night sleep. They clearly have invested a great deal in a grand lobby and high end corporate facilities however as a hotel its extremely poor. The rooms at a holiday inn are better and a fraction of the cost. the images used are very misleading, I wouldn't return.

It was gorgeous was not expecting it to be so fancy. We were able to check in before 4pm which was perfect as we were out all day at a festival and wasn’t returning until very late. Rooms were fab , lovely and warm. The beds were so comfortable and overall 10/10.

The location and this was only because there were no taxis around from Mullingar town to get us back to the hotel and it would have been a 40 minute walk but that can’t be helped.

Fantastic spot for a comfortable stay.

The room was just as advertized, very clean, and the beds comfortable. We had to open a window as it was quite warm (no way to turn down the heat? And also found a fan in the wardrobe. The kids loved the pool, and we enjoyed a great dinner in the bar.
