A really a few centuries old family estate with a traditional building and all the stuff inside like in a museum. Very tasty local wine - though you have to pay for it. Rather good breakfast. Absolutely fantastic view on the Douro valley. A huge bonus was an open pool.
Telling the truth, we hoped to get more insights regarding wine production, talk to the host more. Moreover the host had very interesting experience in running marathons, which is close to me. Though the host were not responsive and seemed like avoiding us - the only negative moment that we noticed.
Also, the area doesn’t have a lot of cafes and restaurants, so proposing a dinner for guests would have been a great benefit for this place.

The view of the river and the basket was incredible, especially by the pool. We were treated to a homemade welcome port upon arrival and homemade wines in the minibar. Very near wineries for tours.
The was no check-in or checkout process so we left the money for the minibar in the room. It was a bit challenging to navigate the narrow streets; not for the faint of heart. Only one restaurant in town was open. Would need a car to stay here.

Location a very mixed bag. Quite close to the DOC restaurant, where I had a reservation. Easy walk to/fr, tho steep. On the other hand, driving from main road to the quinta involved very tight turns in narrow and steep streets -- not for the faint hearted, nor easy to navigate in the dark. Price was good.
Went to dinner and returned to quinta approx 10:15pm to find all doors shut tight -- had to bang on the door of the owner's cottage to get in. I understand the need for security but owner needs to coordinate this better since virtually all guests are going to go out for dinner. In general, this quinta was on the low end of creature comforts, but it was also on the low end of price, so not surprising.
