Quinta do Fôjo

The style of the quinta was homely and rustic rather than boutique style, but if that’s your style you will love it.

This was a wonderful location, with a pool and vineyard. The host is wonderfully friendly and runs tours. The whole venue is incredibly authentic and the host has lived here since she was a child. She tells stories of the traditional wine making methods. We joined a group tour, and the price was discounted to €15 as we were staying. The bathroom wasn't connected to the bedroom, but it was very generously sized and had a bath. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade jam and marmalade along with local cheese, fruits etc. There are only two rooms in the house so there's lots of space and it's very peaceful.

The place is absolutely charming, especially for a glass of wine on the terrace in the evening! We loved the views, the pool, the location in the vineyards as well as the authentic feel of the house.

we recently stayed at this beautiful and cozy place, and overall it was perfect — a lovely view, and Elisabete was so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing, and even though we shared last-minute that we’re vegan, she accommodated us wonderfully. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough!

The house is quite old, so if you’re sensitive to noise, you might hear movement inside the home, even at night.
