The room was comfortable, tea and coffe plentiful, clean and well kept. Very good breakfast choice, well cooked and presented. The beer was good as well. The staff were freindly and helpful

Location in the middle of Long Melford is excellent- perfect for the shops but also an easy walk to local tourist spots such as Melford Hall .
I didn’t like their offering for breakfast - there was the option of a light breakfast (cereals, toast, yogurt etc) or full English. I was surprised not to see any fresh fruit included on the menu. I requested the light option, asking for natural yogurt and muesli. There was no natural yogurt only flavoured fruit ones. The only option was to go out to a local supermarket to buy a pot of natural yogurt. I’d expected a hotel of this calibre to have a better offering.
