We liked everything about this hotel The room was beautiful and the private plunge pool was heated on request a real treat The service was excellent the food was varied and very good The aperitif fine dinning restaurant and lounge bar were sumptuous serving an excellent 5 or 7 course dinner The gardens were immaculately kept and we enjoyed looking around the kitchen garden Although expensive it was worth every penny and probably the best stay we have had anywhere in the world

Amazing

Myself and my wife celebrated our honeymoon here in Viceroy. It was an incredible experience. We stayed 4 nights and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Incredible place with the most amazing staff. They were so helpful and welcoming. The room was spectacular and the food in both restaurants on the property was first class. We’ll definitely visit again.

Over our expectations and beyond

Viceroy has a very very very good quality and standard of accomodation and literally everything was perfect from my point of view! We stayed at the terrace Vila with a private pool and after 18 hours of traveling, the tiredness went away when indulging in the warm waters

I would have liked to have something on which to dry out bathing suits after coming out of the pool, but that's the only thing.

Excellent service, accommodation and location. Attentive staff everywhere, they will go over and above for you. The location and views are sensational, only 20 minutes or so to ubud on the free shuttle. We stayed for a couple nights after leaving another hotel after being really disappointed. The team managed to get us into a villa and upgrade us and they made sure we had a special few days. Thank you.

We went full board, the food in the cascades was hit and miss. The western food & pastries/desserts was very good, the Indonesian food however, was disappointing and was tamed down for the western visitors (we were told). Considering the cost the local food choices should be on point when compared to local restaurants. I think we would have gone without full board if we returned.

The location, our beautiful Deluxe Terrace Villa, the food, the jungle valley views but most importantly the staff. 😃 They were the warmest, kind hearted and just lovely. Always greeted you with a big smile wherever you went in. All so polite and always happy. There is nothing they would not do for you. The whole experience was superb. We felt so at home. A special mention to Catur or ‘Chess’ as we called him. He was very good to us and taught us so much about Bali and the culture. We first met when he collected us from the airport. During our stay he took us on a full day tour of the rice terraces, temples, volcano and waterfalls and took us to a family run, wood sculpture carving business. He would go out of his way to stop at unique locations, telling you all the history and always teaching us new words. Patrick, my husband and I have stayed in some wonderful hotels over the years, but you have set the bar very high with the most wonderful team.

Everything was perfect except for the one day when there were young children running around the gym without supervision whilst my husband was working out. The same children went running through the restaurant on one occasion. Guests come here for a peaceful and relaxing stay. I do not think this is the right environment for young children unless well behaved as they can unfortunately disturb the tranquil environment for guests.

Overall, an outstanding stay with truly memorable service.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom pool villa with our 3 children and had a wonderful experience. The service staff were exceptional; always smiling, genuinely caring, and eager to ensure we had everything we needed. Every request, from children’s floats to small extras, was granted without hesitation. The villa itself was spectacular, with great food quality and excellent “butler-style” communication via WhatsApp, making everything effortless. We also enjoyed the dance event during our stay.

The only downside was that the marble floor can get quite slippery when wet, which is something to watch out for if you have young children.

Memorable stay at Viceroy

The staff of Viceroy were welcoming and helpful in every respect. Nova, Yan, Agung, Hery and many others in the restaurant and at the front desk contributed enormously to our enjoyment of our stay. The hotel provided maximum comfort both in our suite and in the public areas. Great food and cocktails. And the dinner we had one night at Aperitif was outstanding. Great gym too.

Magic.

The staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly. The whole athmosphere of the resort is magic and very exclusive. The restaurant we used to go (Cascade) serves magnificent food for reasonable prices. The rooms are very clean and beautiful and the view over the jungle is just outstanding. Many thanks to the whole Viceroy team for this amazing experience!

Beautiful staff and property was exceptional. You are axlittle outside Ubud which is good if you want quiet but not if you would like to walk to restaurants and shopping. There is a free shuttle that runs every two hours.

If there were a Best Hotel In the World award - this would definitely be a strong contender.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home. Throughout our stay, we were super impressed by just how friendly and accommodating the team was. When one person in the family wasn't well, they made whatever food appealed and provided home made brew to make the person feel better. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the team went out of their way to make it a memorable one! Food was excellent, the views amazing, the spa - incredible, the villas - the best! Its a little pricey but in my opinion definitely worth every penny.
