Horton Inn

Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Evening meals and the cooked breakfasts were excellent. Cosy atmosphere in the bar with an open wood fire.

My room (no 5) was comfortable but in need of a little TLC to the furnishings and could have done with a couple more sockets rather than an extension. The alternatives to cooked breakfast were basic. Some fruit and yoghurt and/or porridge would have been nice.

Amazing pub and Inn. We happend to drive by and spotted the Inn and found a free room as I was working locally. We were given a warm welcome at check in and given the option to order in food as the kitchen had closed. The room as spot on with quality bedding, well decorated and plenty of coffe/tea. We spent the evening in the bar by the open fire, topping it up with a log or two. We were chatting to the landlady who made us extreemly welcome and the locals were also welcoming. Breakfast was included in the price and we had a great choice of breakfast options which was delicious when it arrived. The pub and rooms are dog friendly. We will definatly stay again when im next in the area.

Located 2 mins from the venue we had a party at, it was convenient for us. The bed was comfortable.

I paid the same rate for this room as for a 5-star hotel double room in Germany last week - Horton Inn was extremely expensive for what it was. The room was large but right by the road, there was a lot of road noise. We are given fans so that we can close the windows but again, not enough plugs for our electronics devices and the fans so the window had to stay open mostly and the noise was unbearable. The bathroom sink plug got stuck, the toiletry product bottles were either empty or did not work, I needed to check in slightly earlier but I could only do that for an extra £20, which is rather steep considering the exorbitant room rate. The walls need a fresh lick of paint and the carpets in the corridor could do with replacing.
