Reception when I arrived was very welcoming which was really nice as I'd arrived in the middle of the night.
Good breakfast options although I think I'd been forgotten as I had to wait a long time for my hot breakfast.
I wasn't terribly keen on the steps down to the bathroom. It would have been nice to have a lower light level for going there in the middle of the night instead of having to put on full overheads

Nice quient old looking Hotel. A bit of TLC needed but overall quite comfortable. Mainly the plus point was the location being so near to the De Montfort Hall for a show which we went to see in the evening.

Room was spacious and comfortable. The location on New Walk is attractive.
Sad that the hotel is in need of some attention in terms of maintenance and redecoration: it needs an uplift to maintain its status.
