Beautiful old building, kind and helpful staff, simple but very comfortable room, spotlessly clean, interesting artwork.

Breakfast closes at 930am

A wonderfully restored historic building, with modern comforts added, like a lift. The rooms were huge and imbued with beautiful old features. Bed was comfortable and everything was crisp and clean. Bathroom was a good size and I loved the old style classical linens that reminded me of my dear grandmother’s family. The staff were welcoming, fun, and professional in their approach. And very forthcoming when I asked for a random aperitif ahead of dinner.

The location is perfectly close to the airport (yet not too close) and offers private parking. Not much to do in the area admittedly. But it s a perfect excuse to relax at the hotel and enjoy their lovely dinner.

The hotel was extremely pretty, and my room on the third floor was wonderful. The first floor isn’t reachable by elevator, so people with mobility issues should specify not to get rooms on this floor. The woman on the front desk when we arrived was very pleasant and helpful. The meals in the dining room were acceptable, but not exceptional. This is probably due to the lack of traffic. The breakfast was plentiful and varied.

The man on the front desk treated my traveling companion really rudely, basically insulting her by implying that she couldn’t understand Italian, which wasn’t the case. The restaurant staff could use a course in creating an inviting setting, not playing a radio during meals and speaking in an appropriate tone of voice.
