Fabulous hotel, staff, setting but room a bit small

Don't doubt, just book - it'll be worth it!

This was an unexpected surprise! We booked this really last minute, but it was the best place of our entire two-week holiday! The staff is exceptionally friendly, there is a lovely pool (which unfortunately we didn't have time to actually use), the breakfast is amazing, the location is lovely, rooms are SO beautiful, the bed is like a cloud that helps your dream away at night. Absolutely a GEM in the area! Parking is available at the hotel and it's a short drive to the centre

Great hotel with good facilities

Breakfast was great (lots of choice). Great terrace and possibility to eat outside as well. Bus nearby to bring you to the edge of the historical centre. Spacious room and bathroom. Free parking at the hotel.

Airconditioning was very weak (did not cool enough). Surcharge of 5 euro for a towel for the swimming pool..

Good location, close to Siena historic center

Set 2km from the walls of Siena's historic district, free on site parking, large pool area, small bar and terrace, and very friendly staff, excellent buffet breakfast.

It's an older property, there was a slightly funky smell in bathroom (sewage pipes). Rooms are a little dated but the air conditioning is excellent.

Disappointing and below expectations !!

Pleasent staff and an excelent bar area. The barman was briliant and most helpful, gave us good advice on visiting the town and where to go. He did appear to be very busy in the evenings and the only one dealing with guests needs bringing sandwiches from the kitchen as well as serving drinks etc. Breakfast was satisfactory in pleasent soroundings. The main building is traditional typical italian style hotel and the reception and sourounding areas are very grand. Free large car parking area.

We pre booked and paid for a deluxe double room four night stay at this hotel on the strength of previous reveiws and imges of the property but after two nights we decided we had had enough and found a better hotel for the remainder of our trip loosing two nights pre payment. I question how the Hotel has maintaned 4 stars and the photographs must be 20-30 years out of date. The Room was very dated and poor maintanence satandards were evident throuhout the hotel. View from the room was unsatisfactory overlooking a delapidated roof and overgrown trees. one broken shutter and one completely missing. Very uncomfortable bed with hard matress. (mentioned by many guests) Rusty bathroom fittings, broken toilet seat and a hair dryer that was well past its best. Paper cup and disposable spoon for tea & coffee in the room and no milk pods. Rusty, rotten window and door frame leading into the building with cracked window pane. General lack of maintanence, with dirty patio areas, flaking paint, rusty metal work, railings signs etc. Pool area not very inviting with a lack of attention to detail. Patio and pool furniture in poor state of repair as if it had been left out over many winters and never maintained in between. Some of the wooden slats were actually missing or loose. Well in need of being replaced. To sum up. Very disapointing stay, well below the standard we have come to expect having visited Italia many many times.

Great staff, beautiful views and an old school Italian gem!

The hotel is classic old school Italian in a beautiful location. The staff went out of their way to help us, booking restaurants for us, suggesting things to do and checking our airport transfer would arrive. The food in the restaurant was delicious and we loved Ato the bar man who was so friendly and made delicious cocktails.

There could be more options at breakfast and our kettle in our room didn’t work but that wasn’t a big deal.

Thankfully I had driven for 10 hours that day and just wanted a bed. The bed was comfortable.

The room was far too hot and we were unable to regulate it. The TV did not work and when we spoke to reception was told they didn’t have anyone to come and fix it.
