I liked everything

It is modern upscale and clean. Nice big lobby area. The room was well appointed and very clean with special touches like bathrobes. Balcony facing green space was nice. Close to walkways along the river. Short walk into town.

Nothing.

The rooms were perfect, adjoining rooms for children. The breakfast was wonderful, lots of choices even those with special dietary needs. Large reception area with cafe services. Staff were always helpful. This is the largest hotel in Florence.

The only recommendation I have would be to have irons available to bring to rooms. As it was you needed to go down to their one ironing room. Also did not realize till checkout there was a shuttle service offered, this is on me but perhaps staff could highlight this service at check in.

We booked it for convenience as we were gonna extend our stay following our tour and the tour operator put us up in this hotel.

It seems that rooms booked by tour operators are the lowest tier but rooms that we booked ourselves are supposed to be "better rooms" but we didnt get to change our rooms for our extension. It was very complicated trying to explain to the front desk that from day 2 onwards, we booked on our rooms via booking,com and the photos looked completely different from the physical room we had ; so we didnt get to change our room, But some of our friends managed to get their rooms changed. It seems like its dependent on who was at the front desk. To be fair, some of the staff at the front desks are really helpful but unfortunately we approached the guy who was probably having a bad day. Also bear in mind if you are asking for an extra bed : the mattress is so bad that i had backache after.
