The perfect hotel in Geneve.

Everthing was great. The location, the cozyness, privacy also with the communal bathroom (there were only 3 rooms on my floor so no traffic jams for the shower), service, safety. Just perfect.

Geneva gem for price, location and helpfulness

I really like this place (second time staying). It's not fancy, but kind staff, comfortable, clean, safe handy for the station and great value (in Geneva!)

I quite like this kind of more old school basic value accommodation. If you want modern, spacious, somewhere you want to spend much time, this might not be it.

Fine for two nights but I would never go back

Ideal location. Decent size room

Shared bathroom isn’t great and no breakfasts being served isn’t ideal either. In my room, there was a shelf Above where my head would be above the bed. If you get to the hotel after 3pm, you’d have to find a code in your emails to enter the building, as well as the room number.

The location is truly the only thing to like

The accommodation was shocking. There is no toilet or shower in the room, you have to share with the rest of the rooms on the floor. There was toilet paper constantly on the floor of the bathroom and in the hall. The smell was shocking. Myself and my daughter were booked in for 3 night, we left after 2

Good for the simple overnight we needed between flights

Location was excellent, moments from the Cornavin bus and train station.

No air conditioning, at the price we paid, feels unreasonable. The check-in desk also closed at 4, which felt very early - there were no employees available after this point.

Decent value if you can tolerate the conditions

The location of the hotel is excellent, it's within walking distance to many of the city's sights, and there is a tram and bus stop close by. The room was a bit small but serviceable, having a sink in the room is quite helpful when the main bathroom is shared. The attendant at the reception desk was very nice and gave us some good recommendations on where to eat breakfast.

The whole hotel felt quite dingier than the pictures would portray. The hallways also smelled of tobacco, which did not contribute to the feel of the place. The cleanliness of the shared bathroom left quite a lot to be desired; there was toilet paper on the floor, the air extractor was covered in dust(not sure if it was even working), and overall, I could not in any way describe the bathroom as clean. The room was also way too hot and stuffy; there was no air conditioning in the room, but there was a small fan that we kept running the whole time to make being in the room somewhat bearable.

Best option in Geneva for people traveling light and being ready to sacrifice some comfort for saving money

The hotel has a great location and is second cheapest available option in Geneva (after shared-room dorms). Instructions are clear, staff is nice.

1. The sound isolation Walls are pretty thin and doors are old, so you can hear people talking in other rooms, water being flushed, etc. This didn’t bother me much since I sleep in earplugs, but when someone tried to enter my room with an old noisy key at 2AM (probably by mistake) even I woke up. 2. No way to clean the bathroom by yourself When sharing space it’s important to be able to clean it up after yourself / other person, not always the staff is around. Yet, when I wanted to enter a shared bathroom, the floor was in water and dirt from someone walking on this water. No slippers are provided and I travel light, so this wasn’t nice — be ready.

The communication between the hotel administration and booking office is bad and made me lose 200 $ Also the staff after 7 pm are not lifting the phone as i wait for two hours outside calling the hotel with no response which made me booked in another hotel and lose the money of booking Booking staff also didnt deal well with my case and ignored my emails because it is your staff fault they didnt respond and didnt provide the required information to my booking I hope you (the reader now) is not like them and deal with my case Best, Alaa

Central location,lavabo inside the room and heating and the tv was good.I also liked the table and the chair provided in the room.The nylon curtain in the shared bathroom is outdated and not a good idea I believe.A glass panel will certainly make it more hygienic and modern with a small investment.

Emergency number not answered

The reception was closed and an emergency number was depicted at the entrance

When arriving late the reception was closed at 3 pm already. I stayed several times in St Gervais, so I didn't read the instructions send by booking. When arriving at 23:30 in the evening I telephoned the emergency number several times, but without any effect. Mobile internet was not working. My suggestion is to leave a message behind that the front door can be opened by a code and that the instructions are sent to the guests. Or to answer the emergency number and give the instructions. I didn't get the 100 CHF back from the hotel, despite staying earlier with tem. I had to book another room in neighboring hotel Astoria.

Rooms were very hot, old locking mechanism on the door, old lift with capacity for only 2 people and it’s a tight squeeze at that, bathrooms were in below average condition - black mould on the ceiling and around the shower, shower head difficult to place and soap dispenser missing the lid/leaking

The location was good. The hotel is close to the main attractions. The hotel is cheap for Geneva. The room was clean enough - not the best, not the worst.

The bathroom was smelly. Seems the tubes are old. It was always empty, so you don't have to wait. The room is super small, so when you close the windows it is hard to breath in summer but when you open it, it is noisy like hell. This hotel is ok only if you really need a cheap stay in Geneva.

Would not recommend - hot - loud - unclean

The staff were polite

There were multiple issues and would like a refund. 1. The room was so hot and incredibly loud. To the point I couldn’t fall asleep till 4 am, and as a result I missed out on the activity I planned for my day in Geneva. 2. the bathroom was gross, I couldn’t even have a shower as I was concerned about the hygiene in the shower. Also I found long blonde hairs in my towels… I took a video but can’t upload it here. 3. the desk was broken and I was trying to work there Friday afternoon… in the end I went out to a cafe… attached photo
