Very disappointed

Location. Especially to tram stop. Breakfast was good .Very clean

I hated the fact that during my two nights there, I didn’t see One staff member, the only staff I saw was the lady at breakfast. It is the most impersonal place I’ve ever stayed in . Could hear the next rooms toilet being flushed . Rather off putting opening the room door,straight into the bathroom. The numbers on the pad for the code to get into the building were difficult to see in the dark

Great value for money, very nice hotel with extra comfy beds!

The bed was exceptional, very nice, good-sized room, very convenient location to the event I went to. I was requesting a quiet room, and although the hotel is just next to a tram line, I got one which was a bit further from the street facade, very grateful for that!

Top Accomodation Choice in Zurich

As a couple it’s our first time in Zurich. We spent 3 nights at this Hotel. Room #408 Location: Very good 8/10, The hotel is located close to nearby attractions, old town, tram stop, restaurants, patisseries, cafes, groceries and central train station (Haupt Bahnhof) etc. There is easy access via tram from airport or 15 min. away by car. Especially walking downhill from hotel is easy to reach heart of the city within 10 min. walking distance. Check-in & out: Easy and smooth 10/10, there is free coffee, tea, water, croissants, fruits 7/24 at lobby. I advise you to follow all online instructions before reaching the hotel for electronic entry and main gate pass. Personnel: Overall very kind and helpful 10/10. Room: Room is quite large comparing to “Swiss standards”, comfortable and modern. Some basic toiletries including slippers are, however, not available. We didn’t need A/C in this season, so no comment. Heating is excellent. Daily cleaning was timely and excellent. WC/shower area is clean & modern. Excellent sleep quality, bed, pillow, quilt, and mattress 10/10. There is safe, minibar with additional costs, umbrella, yoga mat, enough charging ports, etc. The sound isolation could be a problem, if other guests were not respectful. Common spaces: 8/10, it’s a tiny boutique-size hotel, so don’t expect too much. Wi-Fi: 10/10 Security: 8/10, reception is only available until 17:00 Overall hygiene: 10/10 Overall: Our experience was 9/10 and we will consider staying in this hotel again on our future trips.

Not the good place it was a few years ago.

There is no receptionist to welcome you and check you in so the atmosphere is very impersonal. The room is too hot on arrival. The bathroom is very small.

They tried to charge me for the room twice, the self-check-in took half an hour because it was completely confusing – and at check-out the next day, they tried to charge me another 50 francs for something I had absolutely no idea about.

A great place to stay.

Location was good, 1/2 mile to Main Train Station. Quiet area, restaurants within walking distance. Room very clean, mini fridge and hot water kettle. Extremely nice breakfast with good options. Staff very helpful.

Portable room air conditioner did not always work . Provided with a floor fan and it did cool down at night. No fault of their own with climate change.

Check in: would have appreciated a human being with a friendly face to do the check in. It was very unwelcoming not to have someone at reception. To order non allergenic pillows, we had to telephone a helpline and were unable to be provided with suitable pillows till the next day. This was extremely unsatisfactory. Breakfast: There was no fresh fruit salad. Had to wait 20 minutes for gluten free bread.

Strange place, unpleasant aftertaste. The design of the room and bathroom seems to be designed by someone other than a human. The staff - it is difficult to comment. It feels like the residents irritate a person.

Recommend everyone

7min access to the main station through the tram, the tram stop being 1min walk. Self check-in at 9pm went smooth with proper guidance from Jemma, who helped us with luggage drop in the morning. The room and bathroom were clean, cozy and of modern design. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of options. Friendly Ana provided us ample time to stay in the breakfast lobby even after 5pm, as we needed it. Great staff. Total value for money.

A little overpriced

The location of the hotel was 15 minute walk from the center.. The staff was polite and nice .The room was big and had two balconies with a nice view.The air condition in the room was working but the room was not cooling down. We couldn’t sleep. It was so hot .Also the soap dishes weren’t working properly, and it was so hard to get soap or shampoo out of them. after taking a shower, the floor was getting all wet. It was leaking. I think this hotel was a little overpriced.

At the time we were there, the last two days were very hot and the air-conditioning didn’t make the room cool at all.

The bed. Location was nice. Quiet

The pillow. Caused nose being stuffed. No AC. Stuffy room. No receptionist. Self check in German. I had to figure out everything while being tired and registration took a long time. Except scrambled eggs there was nothing warm for breakfast. Very small room.

We liked the rooms. They were big enough and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the toilets were clean. There was always cold water in the lobby, which was very nice. The breakfast was tasty, with swiss food. The location was good. 15 minutes of walking from the center and the main train station.

1. The check-in 2. The air conditioning We arrived in the early evening, and there was no one at the reception. We couldn't enter the hotel until another resident opened the door. There was only a computer where you could check in by yourself, which was complicated. It was also hard to get the door opened. We chose this hotel because it was mentioned that there is air conditioning in the room on booking.com. When we arrived, we found out that in one of the 2 rooms that we ordered, only had a fan/ventilator instead of an air conditioner. It was August, and it was really hot. The staff said that all of the rooms have the same "air conditioner", and we later found out that it was false. At our last night at the hotel, the air conditioner in the second room stopped working, and it wasn't fixed even on the next day. We couldn't open the windows because there was a tram passing every few minutes near the hotel.

Terrible check in process and I couldn’t access my bags till morning. I work in the tourism industry and I am disgusted at their process and lack of no one being around. I know they will probably give me an automated response about that’s is how they do check in but at the end of the day I’m on holiday why should I feel helpless and have to follow all these unnecessary instructions. It was so bad that even other guests asked me how to check I mean I do not work there I was a guest.

A comfortable stay within a short walk of the central station

I make a point of staying here when in Zurich because of the location and the convenience. I find the staff helpful in finding a room that is ready to occupy. Breakfast is very good but you now have to request the ham as it is not on the buffet counter which I find disappointing. It's a nice touch to have a coffee machine at the reception desk and sometimes croissants. Very much appreciated.

It would be better if the reception desk is manned a bit more often as there are numerous people coming and going but quite often no one on the desk. I disagree with all these check in online procedures. A hotel needs to be properly staffed. Especially when paying exhorbitant Swiss rates.

Breakfast was good, room wasn't that big but it was a good size, it had a fan that helped with the heat at night. It was quite at night but you could hear some bells from the church and the tram, specially if you left the window opened.

I didn't like that reception was until 5pm and the keys were electronic, I was anxious to think what to do if something would happened to my key at night and I couldn't get into the room because there was no one to help.
