Not the same this time
The location and the hotel and art is amazing. The reception staff are friendly and check in and out was easy.
This is not the first time we stayed at this hotel that is why we came back but honestly this time it was not a positive experience. The room was missing some things and i had to ask for them, the carpet in the living room was not clean and had crumbs on it. My spa experience was bad. I booked my massage a month ahead and got a call few days before to chance the time and after waiting for my appointment that them being late what I previously requested was not offered and i was told this is my only choice so I had to cancel. The main reason I was there for a spa day during Valentine’s and couldn’t have that. Definitely wasn’t worth the 600 per night

I really love how gorgeous and spacious the rooms were, and the breakfast was also really really good.
Due to the distance up hill we had limited food options (no close by restaurants outside the hotel facility) so we had to have dinner at the restaurant in the hotel throughout our stay.

Stylish comfort with elegant history
This was all round luxury comfort. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Particularly enjoyed having dinner and then breakfast on the respective terraces overlooking the Rhine. Spectacular sunset with balloonists floating by. Great range of breakfast. Enjoyed its heritage and history.
I had to leave after one day. One needs to be fit to walk for long corridors as this is a large resort.

Service somewhat disappointing
Great location very quiet, nice big rooms , good spa. The food at Bill restaurant was very nice
The service during the diner was not to the standard you would expect for such a place. The sauce for our meat was forgotten, they did not notice when our glasses were empty, forgot to bring the glass of white wine we ordered and finally for the desert they forgot to bring one out of the two. It is fair to say however that when we made them aware the person in charge came to apologise and gave us a rebate. Still i would have preferred a better service. Finally we may have been unlucky as the housekeeping service rang the bell at 8am in the morning and so woke us up. Again not something you expect in a 5 stars place.
