I love the neighbourhood with African restaurants, good and cheap barbers, an area where you can buy exotic food and you won’t see many tourists. The hotel is good, and it offers a fantastic breakfast.

Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is conveniently located about a 15-minute walk from Gare du Nord and close to a metro station. The bed was comfortable, the room had all the basic amenities, and the wooden floor is a plus for people with carpet allergies. The lift was working properly, the shower was fine, and breakfast was good. The room was quiet, which made for a pleasant affordable stay.
As with many hotels in Paris, the rooms are relatively small. For one person it was fine, but for a couple it might feel a bit tight. The main point to note is the neighbourhood - around La Chapelle metro station it can feel a bit unsafe at times. However, it’s actually more lively than dangerous, with a colourful mix of Indian and African shops and restaurants that give the area its own charm.
