It was really near the station yet in an old building so that you got a nice mix of old and new modern. It was close to the old town so you could easily see a lot of the sites on foot.

I particularly liked the large room.

No dislikes.

The staff were very helpful Breakfast was outstanding The hotel is very conveniently located over the road from the St Jean station

My only complaint was early morning traffic noise and noise from street cleaning machines

Sheets were white and clean. Location… right across from Bordeaux St John Station and right downstairs four brasseries. Since only the tramway can travel in front of thd station there is pollution neither from cars nor buses. The entry Goyer has leftover madeleines and croissants from breakfast snd there is a game board for chess, checkers, backgammon. The elevators are quick.

After not finding a do not disturb notice to hang outside the door , I went to the cleaning lady to ask for one! I knew that I would havd to pay more when checking out. This info is NOT posted in the room. Unfortunately, the front desk rang our room phone which is right by thd bed and the loud ring woke my son up ! I went to speak to the front desk snd they said they ring all the non-departures at 12 noon. Earlier I had tried to use the phone in the room to ring the front desk and by dialing 9 or 0 it didn’t work. No instructions by the phone on how to use it ! Lastly, I nearly headed down the stone stairs in the dark as the light sensor is maladjusted and lights didn’t go on! ( There are no light switches, that I could see. ) When I informed thd front desk of this danger, they knew about it and said work would be done in Dec ‘25 Jan ‘26.
