MEININGER Hotel Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean

It was a comfortable Room and the Staff were lovely.

We had an incident where another guest was screaming and got into a fight in a room near me and my family's rooms, we got very little sleep but they were kind to refund us. There was also just very strange people in the area, maybe more suited for an adult only holiday but I would hesitate to bring children there again.

Good location close to the central station.

The range of drinks in the bar was limited.

Paying to store my bag as check in wasn’t until 3. I thought 4.5 euros was expensive

Close to the train station, clean rooms, youthful vibe, kid's corner in the lobby.

Rooms feel more like a better youth hostel and we were missing some of the hotel basics. We were most disappointed by the welcome given upon arrival with our two children (one of them a baby): We were given only few information about when our room would be ready and were talked to rather coldly instead of staff doing the necessary to shorten the waiting time. Especially for a family with young children, this is always a rather disappointing experience.
