Hôtel Alane

The bed was comfy, the shower was good, the location was right for us.

The walls were thin and the decor very tired. We paid in advance but on the day the room would have been a third cheaper.

Central to Paris and Bistros, Restaurants etc.

No milk and only 2 coffees

The hotel was excellently located just a couple of minutes walk from Gare du L’est and less than ten from Gare du Nord. We were made very welcome by all reception staff. It had everything we needed and was very reasonably priced.

The shower and bathroom sink were very small and the walls were quite thin.

The reception staff were very kind. Guiding us for everything. The room was cleaned every day.

*You can't sleep with the windows open because Paris is a city that never sleeps. The traffic noise is infernal. *Very poor breakfast: boiled eggs, two kinds of cheese (sliced), one kind of salami and ham, one kind of cereal, cold milk, apple juice and orange juice (from the box), coffee maker (not from beans) and warm milk. There are no vegetables of any kind. There is no pepper! There is no lemon! If you leave on an early trip and don't serve breakfast, don't pack it. *The windows and sashes were not washed on the outside.
