If possible ask for a corner room, the others are much smaller. Fifteen Pounds a night is a lot. Voco is on par and parking is free

The Most Underwhelming Hilton I’ve Stayed In Having stayed in a number of Hilton properties over the years, I arrived with fairly reasonable expectations. Unfortunately, this hotel failed to meet even the basic standards I have come to associate with the brand. The hotel itself felt tired and lacking in atmosphere, with décor and facilities that appeared dated and in need of investment. While nothing was particularly terrible, very little stood out in a positive way either. The room was functional but uninspiring, and certainly didn’t deliver the level of comfort or quality expected from a Hilton. Service was adequate rather than memorable, and there was a general lack of attention to detail throughout the stay. Public areas felt neglected, and the overall experience lacked the professionalism and polish that usually separates Hilton from its competitors. For the price paid, I expected considerably more. This wasn’t a disastrous stay, but it was undoubtedly the most underwhelming Hilton I’ve experienced. There are far better options available at similar price points, and unfortunately I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
