Ibis Wien Mariahilf

Hotel has a direct proximity to public transport, being close to a main station. My room was facing the street, but it was still decently quiet at night. It was spacious, had a comfortable bed, and working air conditioning. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast had a large selection. The staff was overall welcoming, just a little too eager to clean off tables during breakfast when I only got up to get more coffee and not done yet. Wifi was working fine. Overall, I had a decent stay, matching the price & category of this hotel.

Apart from a very small bin in the bathroom, there is no way to dispose of trash properly in the room or in the corridors. This is inconvenient during a longer stay if you are not always going to eat out. The hotel feels outdated (except lobby/bar). I personally find very dark green as a wall colour in a hotel unfitting, making the room feel dark. The carpet looks really old and dirty.

Arrived to find both rooms didn’t have working air conditioning. Both were broken Got moved to two new rooms, they also had broken air conditioning Finally got two more new rooms that did have working AC but one had a broken door lock Only compensation offered for this few hours of wasted time was one drink token to use at the bar which we thought was pretty poor

the staff were the greatest helped us with everything the hotel is super pretty especially the lobby it was very nice to stay there

it was a bit far from the center like 35 minutes walk but the hotel is near the street where you can find all the shopping plenty of shops there

The breakfast was great and the staff very attentive. However the rooms seem a bit rundown.

The room did’t feel very friendly as the decoration was quite dark and I wasn’t sure if the carpet was dirty or the marks were part of the design.
