Room was reasonable comfortable and good size.
Location was good adjacent main rail station, Helsinki city highlights and many F&B places.
The reception staff were quite unfriendly and customer service was very poor. Unlike the 5 other hotels we stayed at during our vacation, not once did we get a hello from staff as we walked past reception. When we departed there was no "hope you had a nice stay" or "safe future travels". There was one occasion around 5.00pm that the reception was unattended whilst 4 people queued for check-in.
We were unable to adjust the AC is our room and at 5.30pm were unable to have it looked at because we were told that the maintenance staff had left for the day.
There was no housekeeping connection from the room, we had to go to reception to collect milk for tea.
The shower screen was insufficiently wide enough to stop water from flooding the floor and the vanity. Floor mat and hand towels were therefore saturated the whole time we there were there from wiping up the water and no housekeeping after-hours to get dry towels. That was clearly there reason why one wall tile had come loose.
I frequented Radisson hotels in Australia on business over 50 times and they were excellent. Its apparent that the Radisson group is not well set up for holiday destination accomodation. We also had a poor experience in Bergen two weeks earlier. We stayed at 7 hotels on our European holiday (include Radisson Bergen and Helsinki) and Radisson were by far the weakest when it comes to customer service.
