    The men’s sauna in the gymn does not heat up properly - according to one of the regulars who said it was an embarrassment for Finland it has been like this for a month now . Excellent breakfast though !

    It is a nice hotel with good sized room. Beds were the most comfortable in our entire trip. Hotel was kind and flexible to allow for late checkout. Location is well connected but it is at least 20 mins walk to attractions. Hotel has a eco friendly policy that only cleans the room every 3 days, we managed to negotiate for alternate days instead.

    We had a great overnight stay at Radisson Blu in Helsinki, this was the one near the port. We selected this hotel as it’s close to the Helsinki port which is where we depart for Tallinn. Rooms: The rooms were big and comfortable, we were given a room with a view of the sea with king sized bed. A/C worked well especially as we came mid-July and it was hot. The TV was smart TV with Netflix and Youtube, perfect for those who struggle with local channels. Locations: The hotel itself is accessible via Tram 7 or 9 if coming from city center, but Kampi is walkable 10-15mins. There are plenty to see and explore. Service: Excellent service, very polite and kind staff, and they offered to make me a Radisson member so I can request for late check out the next day, this is a pleasant surprise and I’ll be sure to use mg Radisson perks in the future.

    I had a reservation for a standard double room. My flight was arriving at 12:30 a.m., and I sent an email to inform the reception. The flight was delayed, and I arrived at the hotel about 1:30 a.m. The room provided was one without a window. You felt like you were locked inside a buried chest. After declining that option, we were offered a room that was nowhere near the standard the hotel advertises for the category we paid for. It looks like a 2-star room. It was explained to us that all the rooms of the type we had booked were occupied, despite the fact that I had received two messages informing us that the reserved room was ready. In this situation, we settled on the option of the room without a window. Even now, when I see the presentation of a standard double room on the website compared to the windowless one we were assigned, I feel like crying. Were we punished because we arrived at midnight? I believe we are entitled to - and hereby request - compensation for the unpleasant situation I experienced. There must certainly be a difference in price between the two types of rooms.
