We enjoyed the selection of food at breakfast time. We also enjoyed the pool and sauna.
The food in the restaurant was very disappointing. The kebab I ordered was plain and had huge chunks of vegetables . The fish and chips my husband had was bland.

Breakfast was lovely, spa great and our room was good too!
You have to ask (scan a code) to get your room cleaned in the morning.

Spa area great, well run and clean. Hotel communal areas were fine Bed was comfy. Strong even-flow shower.
Rooms need updating. They weren't awful, just tired. Heating was slow to respond and ventilation poor in bathroom. Extra door protecting bedroom from corridor would have eased neighbour noises.

Nothing it was terrible
Looked like a care home, definitely not £144 worth

There isn’t too much to do location wise

Staff was really nice and welcoming, particularly the breakfast team! The hotel is super pretty and well decorated! The room is really spacious and I loved the shampoo and gel set from The White Company, amazing! Beds are so so comfortable, really really good mattresses!!
Spa gets way too crowded super quickly and sunbeds are never available!! Sharing a jacuzzi with 6 people is not comfortable nor relaxing, so it is sitting on bench because there is no sunbeds. Be aware of the prices, we paid £30 for 2 for the weekend spa access but they tried to charge us £140, I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t asked the hotel when I booked via booking.com.
Super crowded space! Breakfast food quality was not the best, definitely something going wrong with croissants (they smelled awful) but seemed normal the next day, sausages were delicious and on demand egg special were also decent.

Only the SPA
For me and my wife it was a disaster night as it was impossible to sleep well because the mattress was two single mattresses and the joints next to each other would cause gaps between due uncomfortable this matter do not let us to sleep in total 2 houres we had sleep and morning it was very difficult to drive back to London due to no sleep at the night which make me extremely un well and un happy west of time and money

Little touches like milk and water jar. Birthday plate on room
On arrival . Good quality coffee machine.
Option off egg Benedict’s which was nice . Good quality breakfast.
Couldn’t use the spa on departure even when offered to pay late departure but full capacity even though spa looked quieter than day before .
Delicious food and bar staff very friendly and polite . Staff in restaurant in the evening were lovely but we had to wait 15-20 minutes for our first drink .

Great location and lovely decor & spa
Had to pay extra for the spa even though was staying in hotel only to be told couldn’t use it as it was full. And yes they’d already taken the extra money at reception too 🤔

Very clean and comfortable rooms. The bar prices are too expensive. Car parking is not clean if you have to pay or not and wasn’t explained by the staff. We did eat in the bar but again very expensive £11 for a sandwich.
Bar and food prices too high!

My husband and I stayed here for a little spa getaway. The spa is lovely and the facilities are great.
The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a coffee machine in the room, which was a nice treat.
Our evening meal was really lovely. We ate in the restaurant. There was live music, which was a lovely touch.
Some of the staff were really helpful, especially in the spa.
Overall, we had a relaxing break.
When we arrived, we were told we had to pay £30 to use the spa as we'd booked via Booking.com. This is in the small print, but I'd missed it!
The spa was absolutely packed when we went to use it at 4pm ish. We had to wait in a queue to use it, but when it was our turn to go in, it was so busy, there was nowhere to put our towels, so we left and went back later. It was lovely in the evening after 6 ish. I used the spa again first thing in the morning, and there were only a couple of people there.
In the evening, we sat at the bar and had some cocktails. The first ones we had were okay, but the second ones were awful. The staff member serving us the second time was following instructions from a book. They weren't good, and when I said this to the staff member, she was quite abrupt and reluctant to do anything about it. At £25 for 2 cocktails, I'd expect them to be good.
The breakfast is buffet style, which meant the hot food was quite dry. Although the continental choice was good.

Nice touches like the fresh milk for the rooms
Not enough disabled parking spaces

Lovely stay all round the bedroom was comfortable with a good supply of teas, breakfast was great and well worth including, and the pool and spa facilities were also enjoyable which we paid £15 each to use for our stay.
It would have been nice if the spa was included rather than extra

Been to the hotel before and always enjoyed our stay
Was stung with a £15 charge to use spa facilities just before we came to stay. Also asked for our room to be cleaned wasn't done for the 3 days that we stayed. Was told we had to scan the app. 2nd day scanned it and still not done.

The Location. The pub with delicious fish and chips.
The room was cold on arrival but then improved after speaking to the lady on reception. Only one bath towel!!
6.0 / 10.0
The convenience with the function it was hosting
The relative price comparison to the sister hotel ;lodge). The service at reception and breakfast.
The inclusion of 10% service charge without asking. £22 for a breakfast is too high.

Lovely big room with separate seating area, comfortable, mini fridge in room, use of spa, breakfast was good
Spa was very busy, it would perhaps be better to limit numbers and have timed slots when the hotel is busy instead of cramming people in

The bed made me itch all night and had lots of lumps and bumps.
It was the most uncomfortable night I have had .

Comfy rooms but ‘tired’. Fresh milk on every corridor and facility to top up filtered water. Fridge in room and good tea and coffee facilities. Robes and slippers, iron, hairdryer. Everything I could need was provided in the room.
Restaurant. Dinner menu not a great deal of choice. Overpriced and not all that good. Rushed service and was not that busy at 1830.
Breakfast buffet however was good. Plenty of choice hot and cold. Didn’t like sitting in the conservatory in November it was cold and lacked any comfort. It was sparsely furnished and didn’t add anything to a dining experience.

Clean. Nice foyer and bar. Good reception and bar staff
I booked breakfast for 6:30. By 6:55 the food selection was not out. I had to leave for work. £16+ down the drain.
Also, walls are paper thin. I could hear everything, including next door going to the toilet, as well as snoring upstairs.

I left an iPhone charger and wiring the room. Contacted the hotel within 20 minutes of checking out and in that time it had gone missing and was no where to be found.
Without casting aspersions that is theft. Or aggressive policy.

The spa area is small but lovely, they have very generous children swim times and i would say the property feels welcoming to children not just that they are allowed but they are welcomed every member of staff we encountered was so friendly, check in was a little slow & parking was £5 for 1 night, the location is great for paultons park (Peppa pig world)
The staff left balloons & a chocolate plate for our daughter as it was her birthday which she loved
The use of the spa is an additional cost which i didn’t realise until i had booked unless you book direct so something to be aware of if you plan to use it, (£35 for a family of 4)
The breakfast was a good quality but a limited choice due to the size of the hotel so to be expected & needs to be booked the night before
We would definitely return and would recommend
The hallway to the bedroom feels dated compared to the rest of the hotel

Nice to revisit the area which I had used to frequent.
Parking is £15 a night. Long gone are the days where you walked into reception of a table with a large vase of lilies and really smartly dressed and welcoming staff. The gardens outside had deteriorated, trying to look modern with a shed for a bar, and the décor of the dining room and staff uniforms did not reflect the reputation it once had or the cost to stay. You had to book a slot for breakfast, which was only continental. Reception staff not only rude, but argumentative.
