We’d like to visit again. Staff were very friendly and it was quiet on the night of our stay.

We had a lovely room, parked right outside. Clean and comfy -and warm.

The coffee machine for breakfast made horrible drinks. I mean really unacceptable.

Well served hotel, with friendly staff. Having a restaurant on site was extremely helpful as there were no worries about eating. Food was hot and plentiful at breakfast and dinner. Rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious. The bathroom had a bath and seperate shower which is helpful if needing to get children ready. TV has a wide range of apps and stations to cater for all tastes. Good facilities for children across the road if entertainment required.

Would have liked a portable heater for smaller side room as it was a little cold, but this in no way detracts from the wonderful stay we had.

An excellent overnight stay.

Excellent value overall for the price we paid. A clean, comfortable room with a very good breakfast included. We also enjoyed a very good meal on the evening we arrived. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Lovely nights sleep in a great room with a nice breakfast in the morning

The staff were really welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely, really comfy bed, enormous shower and large TV.

Dog friendly disabled friendly ensuite room.

I requested an accessible room, I was surprised at how disabled friendly the room was. Comfortable room and ensuite with a bath and wheelchair friendly shower. It was lovely to be able to bring our Doggy.

I didn't like having to walk up to the reception, you can't park outside the front door. I walked up to the reception with crutches, no receptionist so had to go into the bar to find a staff member to collect the key. I then had to walk back to the car and drive to the far end of the site to find our room. I'm not sure if I did use a wheelchair that it would fit around the bed to get to the ensuite.

Comfy and well priced

Room was clean and comfy , the staff were well mannered especially the lady at breakfast, also the breakfast was cooked beautifully and great choice.

When we arrived, baring in mind it was a cold december day witha temp of roughly 1degree. The room was freezing, no heating was on at all and took a few hours for the room to warm up, also the shower was going hot and cold the whole time we used it, with a weird noise.

The stay met my expectations in terms of having a very mini-break before the end of the holidays

The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was the best I've experienced in a hotel for some considerable time!

A good stopover

The rooms were clean, comfortable and warm. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast and the evening meal were excellent with a good choice and reasonably priced. Shower was good with plenty of hot water.

Our rooms were by the entrance off the main road. The walk to and from the main building for reception and the club house was not well lit, and so the water filled potholes were a hazard. It was very slippery as it was frosty and not gritted. A member of staff the next day did grit the path from the golf course carpark to the main building following the snowfall we had overnight.

Solid, comfortable option - perfect for breaking the drive out West

The staff were very helpful when we were delayed on the road and had to arrive well after midnight. The room was very warm and comfortable, and the breakfast was also great.

I didn't mind this at all, but our block was furthest from the clubhouse and an older or less mobile guest might prefer to know this beforehand (there were closer rooms).

Location very close to main roads but still quiet location and the food was very good

Seemed to hear other residents moving around their rooms and hearing adjacent resident tv a little too clearly but their is a notice about noise after a certain time so I guess you would be able to complain after this time if it was a problem

Comfortable beds. Nice view from the restaurant. Bacon was good!

No WiFi in rooms was disappointing. Undercooked sausages and tomatoes at breakfast. Also the coffee machine wasn’t working properly, which led to an enormous queue. Not enough cups.

Budget for what you get was good

The rooms tea and coffee facility's were missing a tray to put the wet tea bag. Also the bed, was obviously 2 singles put together, so trying to get comfortable was hard, because the join in the middle was really uncomfortable

Clean spacious rooms, beds comfortable. The bathroom floor could do with being changed as it appeared a leak had been fixed, but you could see the water mark left behind. (Room 25). Staff very nice.

Fantastic customer service. I needed to book 3 rooms for a group booking and arrange early check in. Trethorne were great with facilitating this for me. The rooms were all very clean and the price was very reasonable.

Lovely relaxing weekend

It was very clean beds comfy food was pretty nice and the staff was lovely

No mini fridge for drinks as we had our son with us and would have been good so can store his milk for the morning and night time.

Room we were in was dark and not sound proof. We could hear the dog in the next room and because we were near the entrance to the house, we could hear everyone coming and going.
