A lovely time in a most beautiful and historic house. Staff so helpful.

The breakfasts were really excellent. We needed no more to eat until the evening. Plenty of choice to suit everyone and all freshly cooked. Eating out in the lovely garden was a very good experience. The staff were helpful in organising taxis for us so we could travel about Cape Town.

A gem of a property that we would return to.

A gem of a heritage property. Great location close to decent . Tasteful decor reflecting the heritage of South Africa. Beds very comfy and gorgeous bed linen. The staff especially Tomas were wonderful and so helpful. And lastly the breakfasts were amazing.

A truly wonderful stay!

Wonderful guesthouse, very charming and lovely rooms, great bed. The property is beautiful maintained, and the staff is fantastic! Very helpful and understanding also when we lost a set of keys. (Thanks to a honest Uber driver they’re back) Breakfast (in the garden) is delicious and the honesty bar is a nice addition. It is a wonderful place to discover Cape town and its surroundings from. The location is also close to vibrant Kloof Street with all its restaurants and bars. Kloof house restaurant is not to be missed, but needs booking in advance. Parker cottage is definitely a gem.

Fantastic in all respects - 100% recommend

Don't be deceived by the appearance from the road (which is not bad) inside is way bigger, nicer, cleaner and more comfy in every respect. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is superb.

The staff was very welcoming and professional. Bernadette even helped us deal with a damage report with the car rental company! Location is lovely and they make a fantastic breakfast.

We had a great time

We arrived pretty exhausted from our long flight and 3 hours early for our Check-In. Madery was so kind to not only keep our luggage safe, but also get our room ready 2 hours early while we had something to eat nearby. We were so relieved! The room was very clean and comfortable. There are common rooms where you can sit down and a fridge where you can get drinks. The breakfast was exceptionally good, freshly made every day. We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming here again at the end of our trip. All of the staff was so very nice and kind!

What a pleasure

Beautiful heritage house with wonderful History. We loved the attention to detail and just moments away from busy City Centre, nice to come back to quiet after a busy day. It keeps the natural aesthetics of the property with a hint of modern furnishings. The staff are friendly and helpful. The property is just stunning. We loved our stay !

Was nice at first but quickly turned into a dreadful experience

Was promised that loadshedding doesn't affect the property but the power was off from 11pm to 7am. Geyser heats up the water on demand so couldn't take a warm shower once the power was off... this was in the middle of winter. The next morning the manager was completely indifferent when I mentioned it i.e. no apology or understanding at all.

Pamela (speaking French) & Tomas were so kind and helpful, we felt at home. The old house is so beautiful!Room 8 is outstanding, even having a fireplace and all necessary to light a fire against the cold winter days. Breakfast was delicious everyday. Location is quiet, safe & very practical with many restaurants and shopping areas around. They deserve 11/10!
