The staff is friendly and helpful but the entire place an location gives off bad and cringy vibes, old weird men just hanging around inside and outside I would never recommend this place

Around felt dangerous but good hostel

I picked it because it was the cheapest option but it’s in the sketchy area of Bilbao everyone says to stay away from. As a female solo traveler I did not feel safe even standing outside the hotel as multiple men would not leave me alone as soon as it got dark. The lobby/kitchen is not a social space and the hostel is mostly older adults. Having one bathroom in the dorm with 8 people was not comfortable but doable. Window opened up to the street with noise blaring all night. People kept to themselves inside but it had an overall uneasy feeling, even men around me were uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place. I stayed out as much as I could during the day so I wouldn’t have to go back. Not a comfortable setting and I wouldn’t stay there again.
