Superb location with views of the coast and sea, and a large living space. The kitchen is very well kitted out. The property feels safe (alarmed) and there is parking round the back. Would recommend.

Slightly limited space for relaxing outdoors - there is a braai pit but the area is mostly concrete. A plant or two would be nice to make the space more relaxing.

A cherished place, made extraordinary by its superb hostess

This has become a favorite spot, thanks to a superb hostess. The attention to detail was surprisingly good and we felt thoroughly spoilt – from the kitchen scale tucked in the cupboard, the enamel braai casserole and grid, to the Nespresso machine with pods, filter coffee and French press, and so much more! The outside area with the fire pit and braai will be such a treat in summer. Thank you for making our stay so memorable

great position/location, great bungalow

lovely comfortable bungalow with great views overlooking the ocean/bay, when weather allows. short walk to the town centre, plenty of shops and restaurants, with plenty of walks along the cliff front. although, due to bad weather, our boat trips were cancelled, we did see from the cliffs whales each day from a distance, and on our last day they were spotted originally from the big window in the living area overlooking the ocean/bay .

Beautiful cosy cottage, decorated amicably. Every corner and notch is well thought of and beautifully decorated. A loved home by the owners. It was very clean and the location was fantastic. Ample parking, very secure. The host even left rusks, coffee n tea. Ample toiletries and towels. Rechargeable hot water bottles in each room, chocolates in the bedroom on arrival, electric heaters in each bedroom. Gas heater in the living room. Loadshedding no issues as the inverter covers all. Fantastic stay. Very grateful.

Slight issue with hot water in the bathroom but the outside bathroom was fine. The host was kind enough to respond to every question.

Superb

This place was huge, very well equipped, with beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms. The living room had a fantastic view out to the ocean and we actually saw a whale breach while sitting on the sofa. We were provided with a detailed brochure for self check-in and also a useful schedule of the load shedding. Location was fantastic and safe, walkable to the many restaurants in town. Wifi was working well even when the power was out.

Given the size of the place and the 3 portable heaters, we felt cold, especially during load shedding. Also, just a tip on hospitality--it would be better to include the dos and don'ts in the brochure and not pasted/framed everywhere in the house as reminders. :)

great ocean views from your bedroom

Normandie on Sea is a perfect location for Hermanus. the view from the villa is amazing. the villa is very spacious and is very well appointed with everything you might need to enjoy a great stay, do your own cooking or bbq. a lot of attention to details which make you feel at home and Danelle was very attentive to answer the various questions we might have and gave us great tips. there are also a few nice restaurant options just walking distance from the villa.

there are a lot if information papers across the house, personally I find it a bit 'too much in your face' and would opt for placing all this useful information more subtle

A beautiful home away from home with some very special touches

The house is very clean and decorated beautifully. It has everything you need from clean, classic towels and bedding to comfortable beds. It has a beautifully equipped kitchen, a wonderful braai area (it rained the weekend we were there so could not use it but in summer I am sure it is a blast), rusks and coffee for our use at no charge which was a special touch. Lovely views.

It can be a little noisy in the front bedroom because it is facing a road that is quite busy and cars do travel along the road quite a bit at all hours of the night.

Family of 6 braaiing all weekend long.

Sometimes you have to find a ladder to see the view as advertised. This time it wasn't necessary. It was everywhere. The invertor system to take away the pains of load shedding was a welcome surprise. We had a lovely time.
