No hand rail on the stairs and lack of large mirrors

Brilliant accommodation and all felt brand new. Spacious even for our family of 5 and ideally located for an easy walk into Whitby.

Girlie family holiday for 3. Fabulous cottage. Clean and tidy, milk, biscuits and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch! Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to self cater. Walking distance into the town, great location to reach Scarborough (30 mins) and we also visited Staithes (20 mins). Own allocated parking spaces. Good communication with the contact given. If you are using the fire make sure you take your own matches and paper/firelighters as these are not provided. Logs and kindling are provided, enough for one night. Great to have a bathroom each. It was lovely and warm throughout and great size rooms. Great little garden with all sorts of birds that come and visit you! Overall a fab stay and would recommend.

The reason I couldn't give a 10 was because there weren't any wall mirrors in the upstairs bedrooms? Only one small one in the ensuites each. My straighteners would not reach for me to see to do my hair and not great if you're trying to use it after the bathroom had been used and both being tall the slanted roof was also a hindrance when using it! Poor mum had to put up with us tramming in and out of her room downstairs. Couldn't understand it when there is plenty of wall space for one in each room? The mattress was tired in the upstairs double room and dented on one side where people have slept, really could do with changing. I slept on the other side which was comfy but was a bit off putting and wouldn't have been comfy if my partner was with me.

The property was in a good location, just a short stroll from town. It was spotless with everything we could have needed and more. Having 3 bath/shower rooms made everything very easy with 2 small grandchildren.
