Very nice and enjoyable, with a only a few things that could be improved.

Lovely location and exceptionally clean. Lovely hot tub and very comfortable bed. The little welcome food pack was nice with coffee bags, tea, milk, eggs etc. Nice to have.

A few things that could be better. The extension lead in the bedroom is cracked with a piece missing so really should be replaced. There is a hob and microwave but no oven, a combi microwave and oven would be a small thing to change but make a bug difference. We had an email saying there was a cafe on site and it provided opening times. Great? No. The cafe was closed for the winter. Would have been nice to know and they may have made a few extra quid as I would have ordered breakfast items.

Cosy accommodation in the Cotswolds

The lodge was cosy and comfortable for our stay. The hosts sent our information for the stay and made sure they were contactable. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch along with the games provided in the lodge due to the lack of TV and WiFi.

Some sensor lighting leading to the lodges may be helpful as we arrived at 23:00 on check in and struggled to find our lodge in the darkness. A gate or separator for the living area and sleeping area would be helpful for some people coming with dogs, especially with dogs not being allowed on furniture. We ended up making a divider out of furniture but this wasn't ideal and from pictures, we didn't know it would be open plan. Perhaps a storage box for clothing and belongings under the bed could be added as there isn't anywhere for these and for a few nights, you end up shoving packed bags under the bed instead which can get untidy.

Exceptional stay

Had an amazing weekend stay with my partner. Very private, we had Butterfly lodge which was super private. The cabin was clean and perfect for 2 people. The welcome hamper was so lovely and I paid a little more for birthday decorations to be added. The fire was so nice in the evening and heated the cabin, no need to worry about being cold. They had a note about Lily the cat, she would totally leave you alone if you didn’t want her in your area but we loved her and let her in our cabin with us :)

A great way for a semi digital device detox.

Everything. From the food basket to the board games. Good for a semi digital device detox. Limited phone signal/internet connection meant less time spent on the phone and iPads. The food basket was for us luxurious enough. Fresh orange juice and not concentrated provided was the highlight of the food basket. The hot tub was good too. Not big but good enough for two adults. It’s a tiny cabin and a good intro to tiny living, we felt.

Beautifully quiet, well equipped cabin. Loved by the grown ups, children and dog!

The lodge was spotlessly clean, comfy beds, nice shower and the mini kitchenette had everything we needed for our stay. The welcome basket was also lovely! The hot tub was brilliant, so clean and nice and hot on our arrival. Our dog loved the open space around the cabin and exploring the woods behind the campsite. We visited the local pub the Butcher’s arms and enjoyed a lovely meal. The site is in a good location, the nearest town is Stroud, we walked along the Stroud canal and some National trust sites. Also went a little further afield to Burford village. The onsite cafe was also very nice, we enjoyed a yummy breakfast on our departure day! We stayed for three nights during the summer holiday and thought the price was very reasonable, would definitely come back if wanting to travel to the Cotswolds again!

Orientation with other lodges gave privacy, large fenced dog friendly plot, virtually everything we needed inside the lodge.

Very good place to stay and relax

We really liked the place. Really peaceful, beautiful and private. Much needed break from the city life and busy work. The place is very sufficient where you can cook meals, microwave, kettle and toaster available. They provided complimentary coffee, tea, biscuits, eggs and snacks. The jacuzzi was really relaxing and just outside our lodge. Was able to do barbecue and you can buy the wood for the fire pit and charcoal for the bbq. Would definitely go back

Didn’t realise that the fridge does not have freezer and we unknowingly bought frozen good. There’s no oven but not really a deal breaker. Would suggest to change the frying pan as it’s really worn out (no longer non stick, scratched up) and also quite small.

Lovely location, sadly wouldn’t return

The property was in a good location to explore the Cotswolds and all the places we wanted to visit. The site is right next to a forest where you can walk for miles to different villages, which for our dogs was amazing.

Sadly, there are a few things. There was no storage facility, when you are staying for more than a few nights, a set of drawers to store clothes would have been good. No cleaning products, even though the welcome pack states there was. The information pack asks you to clean prior to leaving, meaning we had to drive out to purchase cleaning products. The two chairs were extremely uncomfortable, after several nights. There was no facilities to store ice, for such a hot period of stay also. Our first night was above 26’; therefore, needed to wash the bed sheet, as there was zero ventilation, or windows to open near the bedroom. The first and only time we spoke to a member of staff, we were accused of having an accident with the bed sheet, as we had washed it and left it hung out to dry for the next evening.

A good stay, helpful manager but casual about the broken sofa bed which we needed as a bed!

Great campground, quick communication, very nice cabins, lovely gardens.

Broken sofa, very smelly fridge. When the Manager was at our cabin we told her re broken sofa to check that we had mended it correctly, (it was balanced on a block of wobbly wood, with no fixed leg) she didn’t have a look and said “it’s just one of those things”…not helpful, especially when we were using it as a bed!

Peaceful and beautiful

It was such a chilled vibe. The breakfast I ordered as an extra was good quality and good value for money. The welcome basket was a great touch. The host kept us well informed and was easy to get hold of for any questions or requests we had. The location was beautiful and quiet with lots of woods around for walking.

The only thing I could suggest is a small mirror to be put up in the actual living space and a hairdryer, other than that it was a perfect getaway.

Excellent stay in a cozy cabin! Although the other cabins were nearby, we felt very secluded and couldn’t see any of our neighbours. Location was perfect for exploring nearby towns and the setting was great. Welcome basket was a really nice touch

-bought the cooked breakfast package and was lovely, but hard to cook in small kitchen. maybe a continental option? -no hair dryer -pedal bin broken -only one interaction with staff when we pulled in, and she came across rather rude and aggressive when asking if she could help. -got the chocolates and flowers, the chocolates were cheap for what I paid, and also squashed.

The gate for the property was loose and gate kept opening up. Had to use a bag, as a rope to hook on screw. I’m on EE and my signal was only 1 bar.. so my WiFi for iPad was lagging. As there is no WiFi at site.. night time can be a bit boring without something to use.

Peaceful, relaxing getaway

Lovely, clean cabin. The welcome hamper was a lovely little extra. Comfy bed, safe for the dog and very relaxing. The log fire was perfect on a rainy day. Hot tub an added bonus! Lovely local walks, and the breakfast in the onsite cafe was great. Couldn’t ask for friendlier staff! We plan to visit again!

The two single beds are terrible, really ruined the stay due to uncomfortable nights and lack of sleep due to the mattresses falling off the much smaller bed frames.

Liked the private garden, the hottub, and the cosy lodge.

Phone signal was terrible including EE which didn’t suit us personally due to family members at home not in best health, found out about signal en route to the place, hottub wasn’t refilled since the Friday morning and we checked out on a Sunday was a bit disappointed we couldn’t use it again, the cover is not easy to put on and did come off two nights.

Lovely stay in fantastic location

Brilliant place to stay in the beautiful Cotswolds. Loved the hot tub and peace and quiet. Close to Stroud too and we had a great time there. Would love to have stayed longer. Welcome pack was an added bonus.

Breakfast at the cafe was expensive and, to be honest, not very good. If we stayed again we would bring more food to make our own breakfast.
