A pleasant place to stay with a very good location in the village

Plenty of hot water. Well supplied with basics like washing up liquid, soap, dish cloths etc.

The sofa was uncomfortable. The DVD player didn't have a remote.

A nice place shame about the mix up.

The property is in a great location.

When we arrived the property had not been cleaned. The bed was stripped and there was no clean bedding. It was 4pm and we had to purchase towels and sleeping bags from the local shop before it closed at 5pm. We got in touch with Sykes twice and it was cleaned later that evening. If someone had got in touch to say this would happen we would not have spent money on things we did not need.

Perfection

The village. The location was central for the hop on a hop off buses which come frequently. Everything you need was on your doorstep. 3 pubs with lovely pub grub. Shops for supplies. Very friendly locals, dog friendly. Ruskin museum with a great exhibition of the history of the local area and bonus for me was the Donald Campbell story with photos and film on his life. The actual Bluebird using some of the original features where possible and a sympathetic reconstruction, also parts of the wreckage are on display and the cemetery where he was laid to rest. Beautiful quaint village all in all.

Beautiful property located in a stunning setting.

Amazing location, brilliant views, amazing views, great locating and very well stocked in the apartment. Will be booking again.

Unfortunately during our stay the house next door was under going a complete renovation and we were woken up every morning by numatic drills, and what sounded like walls being knocked down. We would have liked to have been informed about this before our holiday as we may have booked somewhere else, it wasn’t a great way to be woken up on our relaxing holiday! Property is fabulous b but the noise next door let it down.

Brilliant 5 days stay

Brilliant little apartment, comfy bed ,very clean and had everything you need , so close to wonderful Coniston water , loads to do and see in the area , stunning walks on your doorstop

Central, clean and lovely bed

Easy to find and the off road parking worked well. The bed was exceptionally comfy and in general the whole apartment was well kept and clean, with everything you need. Lovely view of the hills out of the back skylight window. Despite being on the main road, the apartment was quiet. Excellent central location and have already booked for 2026.

As others have mentioned, the stairway is a little narrow and inclined, but easily manageable. We'd had previously used the key box to collect the keys before, and having addressed the memory laps, worked it out. However, it might be useful to provide instructions, especially if anyone is using the box for the first time.

Brilliant apartment in Coniston

Lovely little flat just out of the centre of Coniston, a few minutes walk from all pubs / restaurants/ attractions and a 10-15 minute walk to the lake. Spotlessly clean, really well appointed, stunning views. A pleasure to stay at.

Excellent apartment for a couple

This was our second stay at Bluebird Loft. It is a very well maintained, clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable compact apartment perfect for a couple. We would happily return again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Might be time to replace that ageing frying pan. On road parking can be an issue if you return during the day.

Quiet loft studio flat with excellent facilities, shame for stairs and sharp fireplace slate plate

Excellent location and facilities provided, easy free street parking near the flat. It even had a teapot!

Steep and narrow staircase: It was manageable for us, aged 53 and 46, but it might put off older travellers due to the physical exertion each time going up and down the stairs to enter and leave the flat on the second floor. Missing essential: The only thing missing was a 4-gang extension in the living room for easily available electric sockets for phones and computers, so it is necessary to travel with one, but take care with the sharp slate plate! Dangerously sharp fireplace slate plate: The property was not equipped with an extension lead but I used mine that I plugged in on the right behind the TV stand. When I stepped back from it, my right ankle was lacerated by the very sharp as a knife corner of the fireplace slate plate just to the right of the space. Luckily, it was a little stab gash that did not hurt or bleed for long. I gently ran my finger over he slate corner and indeed it is very sharp and much too pointed to be left without remediation - it at least needs to be filed off to avoid potential injury to future flat occupants walking past and catching it. Such a hazard must be addressed, unless the property manager wishes to risk solicitor's letters with injury claims.

Great base, fantastic location, very clean!

Great location, right in the centre of Coniston, you can walk out the door to go hiking or there are places within short driving distance - lots of places to explore and things to do on the doorstep. Close to lots of amenities - coffee shops, pubs, places to eat dinner and buy groceries. The apartment was warm and cosy, nice to return to after some very wet days of hiking. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked (although salt and pepper would have been handy), and the views over Coniston fells are lovely. Lots of storage space in the bedroom and the power shower/bath were great at the end of a long day. No issues with finding parking, was easily able to find a spot on the road opposite the apartment.

Would have liked a heads up about the washing machine not working instead of arriving to a note on the machine from 'Housekeeping'. They were only made aware by that last tenants and couldn't get someone out until after my stay but I didn't leave home until 2pm so it would have been enough time to let me know so I could pack some more changes of clothes.

Enjoyed Coniston Launch & visit to Brantwood.

Provided our own breakfast, but shopped locally for provisions as near to shops. Used various pubs to eat out on an evening.

Hot water was not available from second day, & owner did not contact us to apologise for inconvenience or update us of maintenance progress. Visited local health club at our own expense to have a swim, hot shower & wash hair as very hot weather & been walking throughout the day.

Loved the loft!

Great views through the skylight windows, even better at night for Stargazing. Appartment really nice in a central location of Coniston and car parking on the road opposite so we'd definitely recommend staying here.

Location was excellent for the village, with coffee shops and pubs within 5 minutes walk and a co-op 10 minutes away

The only frustration was how long the toilet cistern took to refill!
