About this apartment rental

Bridge Suite is a first floor apartment sleeping two guests located in the centre of Coniston. The suite comes with its own private hot tub tucked away next a picturesque river. Bridge Suite is ideally situated in the centre of the village and is just a short walk from, local shops, cafes and numerous pubs. Popular valley and mountain walks including the Old Man of Coniston & Tarn Hows can be accessed from the front door and the lake shore is less than a 15 minute stroll away.

The Bridge Suite offers the perfect base if you are looking to spend your time exploring the Lake District and is perfect for cyclists & walkers and due to its central location.

The cottage is in a great spot in the middle of Coniston and is a great base for exploring the area. We did have a little trouble finding the entrance as from the information provided it wasn’t totally clear that you need to enter as if you’re going into the shop. We also weren’t told until after booking that the parking space isn’t directly outside. This wasn’t an issue as we were able to unload the car outside and then move to the spot which is only a minute’s walk away, but I think this should be made clear in the listing. Inside the decor and finishes could use a good update and tidy to bring it up to the standard of the price paid, but overall it is warm, clean and comfortable. What wasn’t clear in the listing is the location of the hot tub. There was nothing in the handbook in the cottage either to tell us where this was. After some walking around and looking back at the photos on the listing we found it over the road, in a garden area in the middle of a busy junction. It is fenced in and surrounded by trees but you do need to walk outside and across the main road to get to it, something which definitely should be made clear in the listing as we probably would have booked elsewhere had we known this. Overall we had an okay stay here and slept very well after days spent walking but found it expensive for the standard of accommodation and we wouldn’t chose to stay here again.
