The host was extremely helpful and friendly. She gave me lots of useful local advice. The house is tucked away in a secluded alley just a few minutes easy walk to the beautiful Marske beach with Redcar and Saltburn just a short walking distance away. It has every home comfort you could need, including a state of the art air fryer! Plenty of towels, tiny but adequate shower, comfy beds, little courtyard with outside tap if you have hot feet from the current heatwave to deal with! There’s plenty of shops and restaurants including a Sainsbury’s and a Co-Op. We found parking in a road that leads to the house that was only a minute away. The host told us how to find it. There was also a welcome pack of wine and biscuits which was a nice surprise. Added bonus, the house was so cool to come back to after a hot day on the beach! I did see on another review that they said the door locks were tricky but we didn’t have that problem.

The location couldn't be better close to all amenities, no need to drive plenty of buses and trains excellent. It was nice to have all the little important things like toilet rolls, washing up.liquid, tea towel, kitchen roll etc left for you and a few goodies.thank you. Everyone in the village is very friendly and helpful. There is a sainsburys and co op with most things needed. Lots of other shops, fruit shop, take aways, chemist, butchers and three pubs. Great quiz on a Thursday night in the zetland hotel.

I think you need to revisit directions on your site, it is not next to the health centre it may have been years ago. Not enough information in the cottage re heating hot water and appliances. What there is out of date and not very helpful. It is very tired and needs some love and care. The outside area needs cleaning up, the shower was very dirty and needs regrouting. I scrubbed it before I could use it, but it was still not pleasant. I know things get used and abused but I expect things to be clean when I go in. I did strip.the bed when leaving but found the quilt soiled. Put me off didnt want to.remove the pillow and mattress protectors incase I found something I didnt like. Generally not hoovered bits under the rugs. It's such a shame as the property is a lovely location and great size. I didn't report these things to anyone which we should have but I was on holiday and wasn't there to spend my time phoning and running around. It should be clean and presentable. All the furniture is old and needs revamping to.make it look loved. I do.hope it gets sorted it has so.much potential.
