We recently stayed at The Nook in Saltburn and honestly, it exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is something really special. Nestled above the bay, the views are simply unforgettable - the kind you find yourself stopping and taking in again and again. It’s a real hidden gem.
The property itself has been finished to such a high standard. Every detail has been thought through so beautifully - it manages to feel both luxurious and completely like a home from home, which is no easy balance to strike. You can tell a huge amount of care has gone into creating it.
We stayed as a family with our two children (7 and 12), and they absolutely loved it. The bunk beds and bathroom space were a big hit, and the layout worked perfectly for us - especially having the private main bedroom and bathroom downstairs, complete with a stunning roll-top bath.
After a difficult period at home due to our son’s long-term health condition, this trip was actually for a wedding - but The Nook ended up being so much more than just a place to stay. It was a genuine escape and a real treat for all of us.
Saltburn itself is gorgeous - beautiful beaches, incredible views, amazing fish and chips, and the best ice creams. The fact that everything was just a short walk from The Nook made it even better.
To top it all off, we unfortunately left a number of items behind after our stay. But once again, Jeffrey went above and beyond – nothing was too much trouble. He kindly arranged for everything to be returned to us, despite clearly running what must be a very busy and popular property.
We honestly couldn’t recommend The Nook highly enough. If you’re looking for a proper English luxury getaway with heart, this is it.

Clean and cozy with a sea view

Stunning view of the sea and lovely apartment well fitted out and with lots of natural light. It was warm in February and the whole family enjoyed it.
Only small things, somewhere to hang coats and put our sandy shoes would have been lovely, but hard to fit in.
