Something to consider, the shower floor is super slick and given that guests are a bit older, may want to put a rubber mat in the shower to prevent a slip.

Fantastic, comfortable stay. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Very clean, fantastic location, parking included. The staff were excellent and friendly. We had the ground floor apartment with reception, had our own living space and kitchen with Netflix tv. We had a nice view of the river. Loved the honesty fridge in the lobby full of beer, wine and soft drinks. We had a great time, very comfortable with a tasty breakfast. Competitively priced.

Great location, lovely hotel

Lovely hotel. Staff very helpful. Very clean, shower was good, bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices. Used the terrace outside to have a glass of wine. Good selection to purchase at very reasonable prices. Very close to train station and bus station so very convenient. The location of this hotel is excellent. Highly recommended.

Lovely place in the centre of Cochem

We had a lovely stay, staff was super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was well organised, although more vegan options would be welcome, maybe something like vegan yoghurt? The room was nice and clean, nice bathroom. The only thing I can think of is that the pillows were a bit too soft, it felt like a lot of the filling was lost. Other than that a perfect stay at Villa Cuchema.

Excellent place for a holiday stay, 11/10 would stay again!

I liked absolutely everything about Villa Cuchema and my stay there. The building is nice, quiet and cosy, with a terrace available to all guests. It is also very conveniently located for travelling by train, and train is a way to see much more of the Moselle valley than just the town of Cochem - you can be at the platform within 5 minutes of locking your door (probably less if you have your room downstairs). Our room was very comfortable, on the second floor, with a large double bed and a third separate bed. Mattress comfort is always a personal thing, but I was very satisfied and so was my family. Room size was very good for a holiday accomodation, so was the bathroom, with fresh, modern look. I had a river view from the window, although some rooms have windows towards the hill too. Room was provided with an electric kettle and a hair dryer. In the corridor, there is a refrigerator full of beer, wine and some other drinks available for guests at reasonable prices. Even though there was no air conditioning, the room was cool enough with the temperatures approaching 30 C, and an electric fan was provided. The crew is relatively small, but charming, with kind words to all the guests and some extra smiles for kids. They even made sure that after the daily (if you so wish) room cleaning my son's plush toy would lie comfortably in bed (!). This level of friendliness and charm! Breakfasts were excellent, with very good fresh bread (especially breadrolls were delicious), large variety of cold cuts and cheeses and some other stuff, as well as scrambled and hard boiled eggs. Excellent coffee is served to each table too. It's possible to make a takeaway package for a small fee. As the crew is small, the reception is not open 24/7, but if you arrive when the staff are not there, you will get your key in a small box opened by a code at the very entrance to the building; relevant instructions came by Booking.com chat.

There was not a single thing I disliked. Not one. Well, perhaps except for having to leave :) But there are two things "by design", which may be a disadvantage to some people and worth noting consciously: there is no air conditioning and no elevator, so bear that in mind when booking.

Everything about Villa Cuchema is outstanding. The location is perfect. It is close to the river, just a short walk to the train station and old town area. the rooms and building are great. The hotel is a beautiful older building and Peter has done a nice job updating the property. Very clean and modern. the rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Breakfast was very good! Peter is the best host. He is very personable and always willing to offer recommendations. he had great restaurant suggestions and also lined up a wine tasting for us in a nearby town. We have been to Europe 3 times and stayed at multiple places on each trip. Peter and Villa Cuchema was outstanding and stands above any other place we have stayed. A very memorable trip.

Overall it was a pleasant stay

Very clean, nice and cozy room. The breakfast was also very nice.

It was impossible to leave our baggage after checking out to enjoy the city before going back. Eventually we found an alternative but the staffs could’ve been more resourceful about it.

Charming city Cochem and Good Boutique Hotel

Good Boutique Hotel with good breakfast and the family rooms are nice as well. Quiet and nice to relax and enjoy the Cochem Town.

Only thing is not good is when you travel with kids and you have a trolley. There’s no elevator to go to the rooms. You have to pick up the trolley and do a bit of exercise.

I asked for a quiet room not facing the construction going on right in the front of the house, but was still placed in that room. (Being early risers it did not bother us too much.) Difficult to maneuver car in and out of parking space, if all the guests are parked.

Amazing Owners... fantastic place!

The staff were super friendly when we arrived. The property and our room were absolutely spotless. Great location. Close to shops and restaurants and right in the Mosel. The most comfortable bed I have slept in!!! The owners are fabulous people. We had a nice chat with them. Could not ask for friendlier people. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who visits Cochem. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for the exceptional hospitality.

Great value for money

Great value accommodation. The rooms are clean and spacious. The location is great, just a couple of minutes to the historical center. Very nice staff. Very good breakfast.

Since the building is a historical building it is understandable that if you are noise sensitive, it might be a bit loud on occasions. We take our ear plugs with us always, so we did not have any issue with this.

Defnitely found our place to stay on every trip to Cochem

The position of the hotel is excellent. Its a few minutes walk to the centre but you're not on the noisy front road, although you have a lovely view of the river from the terrace. Parking is convenient. The building is beautiful and it is decorated in a sympathetic style. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The drinks were reasonably priced and were available to self serve on a trust basis. Breakfast had a good selection and was served by a pleasant and helpful waitress.

The steps from the car park/basement up to the ground floor - only because of my arthritis. There isn't a lift but the stairs to the first floor aren't too steep and I managed them.

Leuke plek dichtbij centrum en aan de rivier. Niet op de tweede verdieping slapen.

Goed ontbijt! Heel vriendelijk personeel. Lokatie is tegenover de rivier en dichtbij het centrum. Veel kun je op loopafstand doen.

We werden elke morgen rond 5-5.30 wakker van mensen (personeel?) die boven onze kamer opstonden. Het is een oud gebouw en kraakt enorm. Wellicht heb je hier geen last van als je op de eerste verdieping slaapt, maar op de tweede verdieping dus wel. Dit was voor ons wel echt een dik minpunt.

Tolle Lage mit Moselblick. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Gut ausgestattete Wohnung. Geräumiger Abstellraum für Fahrräder etc.

Kleine bauliche Mängel, z.B. ein loses Regalbrett an der Wand oder eine Steckdose, die nicht richtig in der Wand verankert war.

Nie wieder!

Die Lage.

Sehr einfache Ausstattung in einem alten Haus ohne Aufzug. Der Frühstücksraum hatte kein Tageslicht. Frühstück war sehr einfach. Wir hatten für 3 Nächte gebucht sind dann aber nach 2 Nächten wieder gefahren. Der Preis pro Nacht von 150 Euro ist nicht gerechtfertigt.

Freundliches Personal , sehr gutes vielseitiges Frühstück, zentrale Lage, Grundausstattung, die ihren Zweck erfüllt (nichts außergewöhnliches, wie in vielen Bewertungen geschrieben, Moselblick nicht für alle Zimmer, in der Beschreibung vorhandene Küchenzeile haben wir nicht gefunden)

die Nähe zum Bahnhof, hoher Geräuschpegel bei offenem Fenster (Bahn, Rollenkoffer der Reisenden auf Kopfsteinpflaster, Müllentsorgung und oder Stadtreinigung täglich 6 Uhr morgens von Montag -Donnerstag ), Bedarf an sehr guten Ein- und Ausparkkünsten bei großen parkenden Autos (dafür eng bemessene Parkplätze),
