Mataraci Konak

The location of the property is really good. It's close to tram T1 and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms are big enough and we especially liked the fact that it's a smallish place so there is never noise. The breakfast is always a bit different and coffee and tea can be served all day, for free. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Jamil and Amil.

É um hotel muito pequeno, extremamente bem localizado numa área calma mas perto das maiores atrações turísticas. O quarto era enorme e a casa de banho também. O staff, especialmente o Camil, foi muito simpático, falava muito bem inglês e mostrava-se disponível para ajudar em tudo o que fosse possível.

Notava-se que era uma casa de madeira que tinha sido convertido num hotel familiar, portanto é necessário que se empenhem na manutenção do mesmo.

This was our honeymoon and we were arriving at a late time 1230am and we weren't due to check in until 2pm. Kemal offered a private ride to and from airport and also he made sure he arranged another room in a hotel next door. For two people that were tired from the wedding reception and flight it helped immensely. When we got to check in , he offered locations and activities to do . Made sure the room was always cleaned when we left and we never had to ask. Its a quaint place but its in the heart of the old city so there is always much to do regardless the time. He even set up the room special for our honeymoon. Breakfast wss great. It had 3 hot times and rest was little bits of different types of pastries, Vegetables, luncheon meats. The ac worked really well, the floors were clean. And there was his cute kitten which is only about 6 or 7 weeks old . Bed was comfy, there was a lot of natrual lightning which is always beautiful. Watching rain was an absolutely majestic experience from the room's window He always checked in on us no matter if we were going or coming and attentive as much as you can be . I've been booking hotels for a long time and this is the first time I felt like a hotel and employee actually cared genuinely. I would definitely be back again if I come back to turkey . It made the stay magical The best part about leaving for another red-eye flight? Kemal made us sandwhiches to take to the airport . Thank you mataraci Konak, the cook, cleaner and kemal. Inshallah we will return

The only gripe I have which is expected of a historic hotel is the people upstairs had heavy foot but then again thats in every story based building unless youre staying on the top floor. It didn't bother us too much since it was a few minutes out of the day

The hotel is located on a quiet street. The breakfast is delicious, and it's clean.

We didn't like the basement room at all! It's very small windows face the sidewalk where the hotel staff sit, smoke, and talk loudly from early morning until late at night! It's a family room, so it really doesn't suit us. Is not easy to find it too !
