The location was fantastic to explore Ribeira and the views were amazing

Wat een unieke plek om te verblijven in Porto! Het uitzicht is zo mooi en je bent overal dichtbij. Het smaakvol ingericht appartement heeft ook alles wat je nodig hebt.

The location and view was amazing. The kitchen facilities were fantastic. Everything was sparkling clean and organised in the kitchen! Full sets of of all crockery, utensils and cooking containers were supplied. No bits and pieces. Even the knives were super sharp! The best kitchen on our holiday.

The bed. It was hard and uncomfortable and needs upgrading. We used the blanket on top of the bed instead of the doona and it wasn’t clean. There was also a strong musty odor in the bedroom. We stayed for nine nights and there was no offer to launder the sheets, towels or the one teatowel supplied. There was however an information sheet which stated that a change of towels would cost 15 euros. I’ve never stayed anywhere this long without this service being automatically available and this is not acceptable. We shouldn’t have to ask.

The accommodations are lovely. Beautiful and well decorated interior. Comfortable bed and furniture. Heat for those wet rainy days.

Unfortunately I had a couple issues. First one was no one met me at arrival, it was pouring rain and I couldn’t figure out how to get into the apartment after I finally found it. I called for help but couldn’t reach anyone. I had the code to the door but didn’t realize you had to put in a hashtag first. Just by pure luck the couple below me came home and let me in. otherwise I don’t believe I would have been able to. The other bad things was the damage deposit and being charged city tax for two people. (I am a single traveler). Booking.com says pay 200 Euros on arrival. Which I made sure I had. However, since no one met me, they wanted me to send to their iban number. Well I live in Turkey, and it’s very difficult because I have no euro account. Only dollar and Turkish lira. So I used my credit card. Then when it was time for refund, they said they can’t refund my credit card. Has to be the bank. So, I reluctantly gave them my American acct iban in Turkey. I will have a large loss there from the Turkish bank. Probably at least $35.00. And a conversion fee. As of now, 5 days after check out, I still haven’t received my deposit and I do not know if they will remove one of the city tax charges. I felt their was absolutely no concern from them regarding this situation they put me in. If I had known what a hassle this would be I never would have stayed here. It should have been wonderful but left me with very bad feelings.
