Oporto Home - River Front

View from the apartment right on the river with a bar and restaurant below. Which were NOT noisy. Very central within easy walking distance of the main bridge , Sao Bento train station/ metro and port houses opposite.

Some things needed fixing on arrival , but were quickly dealt with. The process to access the property was complicated needing to provide personal details and passports to obtain access codes. Could be simplified.

Location, location, location!!

The view, the location. Absolutely perfect (Red Apartment)

A number of things mentioned in past reviews still not resolved: A) very lumpy, and dirty sofa bed B) Noisy aircon in bedroom meaning it was unusable at night C) Very noisy fan in bathroom which came on with light switch meaning you could not use the light in the toilet at night.

The location is very good and right on the river front. The apartment was fairly spacious, well equipped and clean. Communication from the owners was all by message and despite there not being anyone at the apartments, I felt I could get assistance if needed. The air conditioning was great to have when it was so hot outside, and the double glazing and shutters helped keep the apartment cool and quiet.

It was hard to locate the building - the Perspex sign on the wall is faded and not obvious. The furnishings in the apartment could be better - the sofa bed was very uncomfortable as a sofa; the sleeping pillows were lumpy but the bed was comfortable; the kitchen cupboards were damaged, skirting boards damaged and the chairs were chipped. For 2 of our 4 days the restaurant at the side of the building played very loud music most of the day which meant we had to close windows. The elevator didn’t have a working light and litter was left in the hallway suggesting the property is not visited each day.
