Oporto Home - River Front

The apartment is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of the riverfront and many attractions. It was clean, comfortable, and looked exactly as expected. The staff responded quickly by sending a maintenance person to address the shower issue, and although they didn’t book a taxi for us, they explained how to do it ourselves, which was helpful.

The shower head kept falling during use until maintenance addressed it. The elevator is very small and quite slow. There was also some confusion regarding supplies. We were initially told that additional toilet paper was not provided because it is an apartment rather than a hotel, but we later found extra rolls stored in a cupboard. Better communication about available supplies would have avoided the misunderstanding

Bed was so hard that the lumpy sofa bed was actually more comfortable. Decor could use a refresh. Customer service was AI generated and not easy to reach in a pinch.

Probably would have been better if it was 2 of us as the pull out couch/bed was in the middle of the living room and was difficult to push back so tiny space for the 3 nights. Otherwise all good

The location is very good and right on the river front. The apartment was fairly spacious, well equipped and clean. Communication from the owners was all by message and despite there not being anyone at the apartments, I felt I could get assistance if needed. The air conditioning was great to have when it was so hot outside, and the double glazing and shutters helped keep the apartment cool and quiet.

It was hard to locate the building - the Perspex sign on the wall is faded and not obvious. The furnishings in the apartment could be better - the sofa bed was very uncomfortable as a sofa; the sleeping pillows were lumpy but the bed was comfortable; the kitchen cupboards were damaged, skirting boards damaged and the chairs were chipped. For 2 of our 4 days the restaurant at the side of the building played very loud music most of the day which meant we had to close windows. The elevator didn’t have a working light and litter was left in the hallway suggesting the property is not visited each day.
