Quaint white cave house

Location - was excellent! Great view of the blue domes. Proximity to the city centre was definitely a plus! Facilities - clean and in good functioning order. Staff - Elizabeth was awesome! She was so helpful and easy to deal with. Great communication via whatsapp. History - built in 16BC and carved out of the hill :)

Please note that the cave is small. We only had 2 backpacks, so it worked well for us. I can imagine this would be tricky if you have a big luggage. Cave is down a couple of steps, which can be slippery at times, so please be careful when traversing these steps.

The location was perfect. The view from the room was breath taking. There was a bus stop near to the apartment. All the shops and restaurants were nearby.

The room was quite small and due to the rain and jacuzzi inside the room, it created a very humid environment inside the room. Plus the walls were leaking.

Great location. Gorgeous views. Getting to the room with luggage is a bit difficult but there was a person who helped us with the baggage at check in and check out. It's a good place for a couple of days for a couple. But the host was very helpful.

The room is quite small. Having a jacuzzi inside has its issues with room getting damp. But the room has a dehumidifier, so once that's turned on it's ok. The room also doesn't have many storage options. Only 2 wooden hooks in the room where clothes dont stay on. There is a small clothes bat with a couple of hangers. And the bathroom has no towel rails to put towels. So i would recommend adding towel rail in the bathroom and shower curtain so water doesn't go on the toilet and sink.and add good hooks in the room. The Jacuzzi takes almost 4-5 hours to get water warm, which i feel is a bit too much.

Its a great budget stay with great views of the Aegean sea. We were there in mid-January and it was very private and quiet. It doesn't have a terrace or a balcony in this room as one could believe from the pictures. But nonetheless, it was ana amazing experience staying in a cave house.

this property has the best view and it's the perfect location to stay! the bus stand is nearby so you can travel to other parts of the island. the room is so comfortable and it has this cave feeling. the best part was the jacuzzi inside the room which was well-heated.

A disgusting hole

Nothing P.S. Be careful because everything what this “administration” writes in replies after people’s review is all lie! We checked in at 12:00 and I have what’s app messages with manager George as a confirmation of this fact. I texted him 11:50 that we are at the post office and waiting for someone to meet us and give a key. So it wasn’t 18:00 as they write here. When we arrived the cave was being cleaned by very unpleasant lady who doesn’t understand a word in English but tried to rush us in a rood way to get out and let her clean the cave. We put our things quickly and left to the beach. The next day we just left the dirty towels by the jacuzzi and left again for almost whole day, so there was no mess that they are talking about here. They are just trying to make us the bad guys to look a little better in the eyes of potential guests, because they know that everything we wrote here in our review is true and they don’t like this honest truth that makes them look bad. I wrote this information in this section because there is nowhere else to write it and I want everyone to see how they lie disgustingly. Normally, respectful hotels and aparts apologize to the guests for any inconvinoences and try to improve but just look what they reply to their guests on the reviews and how they make up some lies to make the guests the bad guys and make conclusions if it worths staying in such horrible place with aweful stuff.

This place is a real hole. A tiny cave where it’s hard to even move, especially when two people are living there. There is no wardrobe, neither cabinets nor any shelves where you can put your clothes and you can hardly place your suitcase in there. There are three rocks hanging in a corner and that’s it. Everything is dirty. All towels have disgusting spots. A tiny toilet with an open shower and when you take a shower all water fills in the toilet and goes even into the room when your bed is. You don’t have space to put any stuff in the toilet or in the room. Hot water runs only for 5 minutes and then you have to wash yourself under cold water. It’s very noisy when you open the window but when you turn on the air conditioner it’s freezing. It’s impossible to put warm temperature in the air conditioner, only cold, but when you don’t do that the water starts dropping from the ceiling because of humidity in the cave. Jacuzzi has a disgusting yellow stains in it. The service sucks as well. We told George - the manager that we needed to check out very early in the morning at 7:10 because we had to catch the 7:30 bus to the port so we wouldn’t be late for the ferry. He said that his colleague would meet us at the cave at 7:10 and also would help with the heavy suitcases, but no one met us neither helped us. We just left the keys because we were late and managed to carry the all suitcases up through the terrible steps and it’s not easy, trust me. So this place doesn’t worth even a half of the money that they charge for it. Basically it’s just a view from the cave that is nice, but you can enjoy it just walking in Oia for free! Or pick a nice hotel with a pool outside or at least a window with a view because you don’t see the view just sitting in the dark and dirty cave until you go outside and stand there to enjoy the view. We don’t really see the point in that if we could have been enjoying the same view for free just walking in Oia.

Location and the view are stunning, right in the middle of the old part of Oia. It's peaceful and yet everything is nearby. You have a feeling that you came in the right place.

The smell of chlorinated water from the hot tub may be overwhelming for some, but the location outweighs everything.

A localização é excelente. É uma cave house no coração de Oia, muitas pessoas passam por ali para tirar fotos. Tem uma excelente vista da caldera e de diversos pontos de Oia. É uma típica cave house, com adicional de hidromassagem (excelente hidro). Era bem limpo, organizado e com diversas comodidades dispostas, incluindo máquina de café e garrafas de água. É um ambiente pequeno, então para um casal fica ótimo e recomendo não ter muitas bagagens, tínhamos duas mochilas e duas malas de mão e foi o suficiente no espaço. Você consegue fazer tudo a pé em Oia, fica perto da estação de ônibus e há muita facilidade para a viagem.

A proprietária Elisabeth é muito querida e prestou diversas informações para nós antes e durante a reserva. Porém, nos incomodou um pouco por ser incisiva para fazermos a contratação de transfer.
