Cosy heritage home with views across Gibsons Landing. It's a heritage home so it's a little wonky in some areas which all adds to the charm. The stairs are a little steep but you just have to take things a bit slower. Very well equipped with everything we needed. It's biggest selling point is that it's so close to the restaurants in town. A couple of minutes to most of them. Would definitely return. A really lovely stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation. Amazing location and perfect house for our family. We enjoyed all of the restaurants, shops and seawall within walking distance. Couldn’t have asked for a better location for our Sunshine Coast adventure! Thank you, Oona.

Very convenient location, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The view and morning sun on the deck was a great way to start the day. I'd definitely stay again.

Oona's place has lovely views and is well-located. As she mentions, the home is an older heritage house that is very much lived in and feels very personalized. You do feel like a guest in someone else's home the entire time, which is neither good or bad, but this depends on your preference. Great care needs to be exercised around the wood (both in terms of the kitchen counters and with regard to the floors). Unfortunately for us, there was no note however about the floors, and we did not realize the consequence of using a small humidifier (a few of us had a mild cold picked up from our toddler's daycare and was using it at night to alleviate symptoms). We did not realize that the wood was so sensitive to condensation (despite wiping everyday), and we ended up paying some damages without dispute on our end. Ultimately this situation was resolved, but earlier in the conversation, there were also some implications about other minor wear and tear, like a bedskirt being dirty and closet floors being damaged, which were pre-existing conditions. We did not use either. I understand how it must feel to suddenly discover issues with your home, and it's easy to pin it on whoever stayed last, but that left us with something of a bad aftertaste and made us feel that perhaps this wasn't the best choice for us after all. Other than the mixed experience due to the issue with bedroom floors and with other insinuations, we were just a little bit confused about the trash and composting, as there wasn't a way to compost while we were there. I would also caution that the steep stairs are really not ideal for young toddlers still learning how to walk.
