•A spectacular 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom (sleeps 6) year-round waterfront cottage in pristine Secret Cove. This large and very private home sits on an acre of land at the end of Secret Road and backs onto Crown Land with an extensive local trail network. Newly renovated and furnished, Enchanted Woods has unparalleled views, a private 30 ft dock, large wrap around decks, a fully equipped kitchen, large indoor and outdoor living areas, a wood burning fireplace, 2 outdoor fire pits and an outdoor shower.

•Enchanted Woods is best suited for families or intimate groups of friends who have a passion for nature and are looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat. Secret cove is a tidal fjord with amazing bird watching, marine wildlife, kayaking, swimming, and hiking. Access to your own 2 single kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard is included.
•The cottage is located 5 minutes (by car) from Homesite Creek Falls hiking trails, the historic Halfmoon Bay General Store, Upper Crust Café in Halfmoon Bay, Rockwater Resort (enjoy an amazing meal and couples massage!), Buccaneer Marina (with a local water taxi and boat rentals), Secret Cove Marina (featuring a floating general store and the Upper Deck floating restaurant in the summer), and the breathtaking Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park (accessible by both land and water). Buccaneer Bay Provincial Park (with pristine white sand beaches) is located on Thormanby Island and is accessible by either water taxi or kayak (weather permitting). Past guests have enjoyed activities as diverse as fishing, scuba diving, stand up paddleboarding, golf, mountain biking (Suncoaster Trail Network), caving (Homesite Limestone Cave Trails), cross country skiing/snowshoeing (Dakota Ridge Winter Recreation Area), and triathlon training (amazing local rides and ocean swims – the Sechelt Aquatic and Fitness Centre is only 30 minutes away by bike!)

We had a wonderful stay ! Kayaking at low tide and visits to the govt dock for fresh seafood became our daily activity, will definitely be back !

Enchanted Woods Waterfront Cottage at Secret Cove is a beautiful, secluded retreat that offers a true sense of peace and quiet. Waking up to nothing but birds singing and a lovely view over the cove made it easy to slow down and fully relax. The setting feels private and tucked away, perfect for a restorative getaway.During my stay, there was a cold spell and some rainy weather, which added to the experience. It was wonderful to keep the real fire burning, listen to the rain, and enjoy some quiet downtime. The cottage is cozy and comfortable, making it an ideal place to unwind and disconnect.The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed for a short or long stay, making meals easy and convenient.One thing to note is the steps down to the kayak and paddleboard area. They can be a bit slippery when it’s raining, so it’s worth taking extra care. The waterfront access is a great feature, but this is something to keep in mind.Smuggler’s Cove Park is a short drive away and highly recommended. The walk is easy, with stunning coastal views, though there are tree stumps and rocks to navigate once past the newer, maintained walkways around the marsh.Overall, a lovely stay for a single traveler, a couple, or a family with older children seeking a peaceful coastal escape.

The setting and location are beautiful, we loved the outdoor space! However the property itself was a little disappointing and felt like it was not being cared for. It should not be marketed as having 3 bedrooms. The third bedroom is actually on the landing open to the living room, kitchen and hallway, and the ceiling is so low that you can’t stand up. The listing should reflect this as it is not a bedroom with privacy.Generally the property and the furnishings are tired, the dishes have chips and scratches and there are stains on the towels and cushions. And a missing door on kitchen cupboards. Scratch, chips etc in the walls and stains on the carpets.Our stay was almost a week long but there was nowhere to put rubbish as the garbage shed was locked (I checked this with the host) and it could not be left outside due to wildlife so it had to sit inside the house.Finally on the last night we had a problem with large ants in the bathroom and upstairs sleeping areas. We worried about being bitten when using these spaces.
