This place is right on a small beach. We liked swimming in the Med although you might need swimming shoes if you have sensitive feet. Or there is the pool. The breakfast was healthy and delicious - fresh fruit and yoghurt and eggs however you like them. There is a great view over the sea in the evening which is perfect for pre-dinner drinks. It was really windy when we stayed at the end of September but the Greek hosts were charming and helpful, giving us tips on more sheltered beaches where the locals go and local restaurants. Our apartment was fine but could probably due with a little updating but we were outside most of the time. It's a great base for walkers too. The port is close by where you can catch a ferry to Balos beach, one of Crete's finest.

Excellent breakfast. Great value for the money. View from the restaurant and pool area of the ocean was fabulous. Staff very friendly and polite. They let us check in 2 hrs early. Only a short drive (on dirt road however) to Balos Beach.
The sea view from the apartment is largely blocked by trees. Apartment is on two levels and the steps to the bedroom are a bit tricky.

We liked to breakfast and hospitality in general
The apartment was not as accessible as expected. Internal stairs from the bedroom to the bathroom/kitchen were quite dangerous at night. The TV was mounted high up by the ceiling in the bedroom with no seating other than the bed. Viewing was difficult as it was almost necessary to lie down to watch it. The restaurant was not open as they did not have facilites to take money which meant that we had to out again to eat which we did not want to do on our first night there. Parking was awkward to get out of as the drive was too narrow and required a lot of manouvering. Explanation on how to get to the property was not provided so we spent time trying to find it.
