Excellent location but not very quiet at night

The host is extremely nice and helpful. We appreciated her advice on trips etc. The accommodation is standalone and very clean. The location as central point for trips in the northwest of Crete is perfect. Overall we enjoyed the hospitality and great location.

WiFi signal is weak. Worth noting for the light sleepers is that you hear traffic (loud motor bikes, trucks, etc) from the main road less than 50 meters away. Unfortunately one of the mobile beds made a loud cracking noise whenever you moved.

Excellent, comfortable location with an exceptional host.

The owner was there to give us the keys and also brought us freshly made orange juice upon arrival. Amelia and her family made our trip awesome and memorable because of their exceptional hospitality. She recommended an incredible restaurant that we visited and the food, the views and the people were so extraordinary that we couldn't believe how lucky we were to experience it. Amelia also suggested a boat tour that took us to Balos beach and Garamvousa island and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Crete. We were so happy to stay at Villas Vista Del Mar and to have met Amelia have access to her local insights and tips! Very valuable knowledge and much appreciated! Some of the best parts of our Crete Trip occurred because of Vista Del Mar and Amelia!

Very cozy, relaxing and handy to explore the area.

We had a great stay in this little gem in north Crete. The Kissamos port to go to Balos and Gramvousa Island is just 1 km close, so you can really plan the day very efficiently. It is 1 hour drive to Elafonissi and 15 min to Falasarna Beach, so it has a perfect location for us. The host was absolutely welcoming, responsive and genuinely thoughtful. Beach blankets were great. The place was very clean and the mattresses were very comfy. The morning coffee with the see view was really very relaxing.

Perfect family stay in Kissamos.

We have just returned from a fabulous week staying at Vista Del Mar. The accommodation was perfect for what we needed for our family of four, welcoming, colourful and extremely clean! Nothing was too much trouble for our host Amelia and her wonderful family. From the moment we arrived to the warmest greeting we were very much looked after. Amelia helped us with sourcing a birthday cake for our daughter, putting Netflix on the tv and even purchasing new utensils so my husband could BBQ in the evenings. She was a star! The pool is perfect and very clean and with the accommodation having only 8 properties it never felt busy or crowded even in the middle of August. We hired a car from our previous stay in Chania and drove the 50 minutes to VDM. I would say that a car is essential to be able to access the beaches. We spent the majority of our time at Falassarna Beach which was simply stunning. The drive down provides the most incredible views and the sunsets from nearly every restaurant or bar in the area are stunning. We loved Liokalyvo Restaurant right on the beach which serves the most amazing food and has a very cool vibe. A DJ set on Sunday was a great night out. We would thoroughly recommend VDM to anyone looking for a peaceful and restful break.

This corner of Paradise is the place to stay in Crete

We spent our holidays in this lovely place, truly a corner of Paradise. Vista del Mar is made up of independent villas blended into nature, with a spectacular pool. It's located near the most spectacular beaches on the island, making it a truly strategic place. We'll never forget Amelia, her mom and dad. Amelia and her family were the perfect hosts. So welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property was well located, a short walk outside of Kissamos centre - no noise, close to fantastic beaches away from the tour crowds. The pool was fantastic, and the little apartment clean, tidy and perfect for a break away.

Very lovely stay. Houses are tastefully decorated. Beautiful, quiet and safe. Behind every house there is an area for drying your towels and clothes if needed. Big parking near pool. Town centre is just a minute drive away, it's little and nice.

Great location. Easy access to the best beaches and 10minutes walk to town. Staff were very welcoming and the rooms cleaned frequently. We wanted somewhere quiet and out of the way and this was perfect.

The aircon wasn't very effective as it wasn't in the bedroom. Maybe a small fan could be provided.

Stinky experience

The location is ok and the garden full of vegetation looks great.They also had daily cleaning and the room was indeed clean.The pool also looked nice. Not in the center but in walking distance from some taverns

The accomodatin is oldish and could use an update, the bathroom is very small and my biggest problem was that the room smelled terrible. When we got there we tought that the problem was the ventilation so we left the windows open but the smell that was coming from the bathroom haunted us the whole trip as it would not go away. Anyway from my point of view it was not a pleaseant experience, I would not recommend this place and I do not consider that it was good value for money.

Perfect Paradise

I liked so much to be in a friendly athmosphere in a super clean apartment. Own terasse with a sea view. A lot of space in the loving room, a good kithen, cozy big bed. Exellent and big bathroom. Beautiful pool area. Many good tavernas in walking distance.

Green oasis in the mountains

Perfect and clean location with a nice sea view. The bungalows were very clean and well equipped for selfmade dinner nights. It only took 1 min to a private beach. Additionally, the owner was very accommodating. We totally recommend this and would stay here ever again.

Amazing & cosy place!

Mr. Michalis contacted us before arrival to check that everything was okey, and greeted us upon arrival. Vista Del Mar is very easy to find, good placed and enough space to park your car. The house was super cosy, equipped with everything you need! At night we could sit on our terrace/outdoor patio which had this french/italian vibe, loved it! Pool was warm and nice and sunbeds to lay on. Right over the street was a really good seafood taverna ( also served non seafood for those who wanted that) and Kissamos city only minutes from our place. We’ll definitely come back and can very much recommend this place! What a great hospitality and friendly owners. - Laila & Benjamin

Pleasant stay in natural environment

Bungalows are very well equiped with absolutely everything you need, even basic toiletries. They are also very nicely designed in traditional Cretan style. The whole campus is very pleasant with beautiful sea views, lots of trees and enough privacy for each bungallow. The pool is great, with enough sunbeds and a shower. Possibility to wash the laundry was a big plus and the owner even provided with a washing detergent. A great fish taverna is located in an old port across the road from the resort.

No service at the pool area, bar and restaurant closed but I guess that’s a result of the covid crisis and it’s understandable. Beds on older springs are rather uncomfortable and squeeky, my husband had to pull out the extra bed to sleep at (which was much more comfortable). Also I asked the owner’s wife for an extra bedsheet for my 2-year old (as we all like to have our own sheet to sleep under) and she made a big issue out of it, reminding me twice that we only paid for 3 people (2 adults and a 5-year old), not 4 people so I ended up sleeping under one sheet with my baby daughter. It wasn’t a big problem for us but I found it very unnecessary and unfriendly from the owner and it made me feel uncomfortable.

The parking spot was right infront of the bungalow which was very practical. Would recommend without a doubt

Quiet place in a good location

The owner is a very pleasant person who welcomed us with flowers and raki (traditional Cretan spirit). He is always available and ready to help. Pool area is clean, water pleasant. Our kids enjoyed it. Location is perfect for guests with car - close to most famous beaches and not far from the city. Since we were already more than a week away, the use of washing machine was very useful. We also could use the barbecue. Great!

Nothing bad, but some small repairs would be needed, especially in bathroom. We informed the host about it.

Delightful

Mikelios was a fantastic host, laid back but helpful with a good sense of humour. We were lucky enough to be the only guests at Vista Del Mar during our stay so the lovely pool ended up being our private one!

The infrastructure is a shade dated but the beautiful gardens more than make up for it.
