Aroma of the Sea

Το σπίτι ήταν πολύ άνετο παρόλο που είμαστε 5 άτομα, όλα ήταν τέλεια..η θέα και η τοποθεσία όλα τα λεφτά!!ένα βήμα από την θάλασσα κυριολεκτικά! Αυτό που μου έμεινε είναι να ξεκουράζομαι και να ακούω το κύμα!!Οι οικοδεσπότες φιλόξενοι όσο δεν πάει! Μας είχαν τα πάντα όταν φτάσαμε!! Πραγματικά αυτές οι διακοπές θα μας μείνουν αξέχαστες και θα ήθελα να ξαναβρεθώ εκεί σύντομα!!!Το 10 σαν βαθμολογια είναι λίγο θα έπρεπε να υπάρχει το 20!!!Ευχαριστούμε μέσα από την καρδιά μας για όλα κα Μαρία!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Aroma of the Sea. From the moment we arrived, Maria, Michael, and their daughter made us feel genuinely welcome. They are some of the kindest and most generous hosts we have ever met. They had prepared breakfast items for us, along with snacks for the kids, which was such a thoughtful surprise after our journey. My children were delighted to find toys waiting for them, and there was even shampoo for my daughter. These little gestures made us feel so cared for. The apartment had absolutely everything we needed. I especially appreciated that the kitchen was so well equipped, with new wooden chopping boards and frying pans in excellent condition. We travel quite a lot, and it's surprisingly common to find old, worn-out kitchen equipment in holiday apartments, so this attention to detail really stood out. We also received two sets of keys, which made everything much more convenient for our family. The balcony view was simply beautiful. Although there are two restaurants nearby, the area was peaceful and quiet. The apartment is tucked away in a lovely, cozy corner, and every time we came back after a day of exploring Crete, it truly felt like coming home. The location is excellent. The large Sklavenitis supermarket is just a short walk away, where you can buy everything you need. The bus stop is also very close. We took a tour to Balos, and it was incredibly convenient to catch the bus to Kissamos Port, where the boat departed. As if everything else wasn't enough, when it was time to leave, Maria and Michael surprised us with a bottle of their olive oil and delicious Greek sweets. It was such a heartfelt farewell and something we will always remember. People often say that Cretans are the most generous people in Greece, and after staying here, we truly understand why. The hospitality, kindness, and warmth we experienced started right here at Aroma of the Sea. Thank you so much, Maria, Michael, and your wonderful daughter.

All was good

We've just returned back home with our family. Aroma of the sea was just perfect. You basically feel like at home, or even better, as it is by the sea :) The lovely apartment is equipped with everything you might need. Hosts left for us water, juice, snacks, bread, cheese, ham, little jams, a drink to cheer with, and more ... which is a great gesture. You will find what you need for cooking: very nice olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, vinegar. Filter coffee, sugar were there too to sweeten your stay. OMG even frappe machine ;) The view from the front terrace is amazing, it's facing the north, so not too hot, and taking your meals there is very enjoyable :). When a light breeze is passing by, is like heaven. Seriously, this stay was worth it, thank you, Maria and Michael! This is how we imagine our vacation away from home, but to feel like at home. And just a step away from the beach and the sea. One thing to mention is the bed in the room without a window, which is not a problem at all (mattress is bouncy a bit, so when one person moves, the other one moves too :D ) Sun beds by the sea are with fees, low season 10 Euros, high season (July) 15-20 Euros according to the front or back row. In August it's 20 for all. Other guests already mentioned restaurant and breakfast, will not repeat it :) We highly recommend Aroma of the sea! Zuzana & Aly
