Monia Coliseum Apartment

I had the pleasure of staying at Monia’s place, and it was a wonderful experience. What I liked most was how comfortable the apartment was—it was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a good-sized, very comfortable bed. Monia had thoughtfully provided toiletries, coffee, tea, cutlery, plates, and cups, making the apartment feel welcoming and well-equipped from the moment I arrived. The property offers excellent value for money and is exceptionally well maintained, with two bathrooms and two toilets, which was a great bonus. One of the most delightful surprises was entering the building itself. As you walk through the main entrance, you're greeted by a beautiful courtyard full of character and charm. There is also a charming antique lift. It's quite small—best suited for a couple of suitcases—but it adds a unique touch to the building's historic feel. The location is another huge advantage. There is a bus stop literally right outside the building, making it very easy to get around the city. The apartment is also very close to Roma Termini station, making travel to and from the airport or other parts of Rome incredibly convenient. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and places to eat nearby, so you'll never be short of dining options. As an added bonus, the Colosseum is only about an 8–10 minute walk away, making it easy to explore one of Rome's most iconic landmarks. There's also a beautiful basilica about a 10-minute walk from the apartment, along with many other lovely places to discover in the surrounding area. Overall, Monia's place is beautiful, comfortable, exceptionally well maintained, and perfectly located. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.I hope to stay here again on my next visit to Rome!

Despite the few shortcomings I experienced, I would not take away from the exceptional 10/10 rating I've given Monia's place because they are all minor issues that can be fixed quite easily. The only real challenge started before I arrived. Through no fault of Monia's, Google Maps directed my son and me to the wrong location. We had decided to walk from Roma Termini to get a feel for the neighbourhood rather than take a taxi or bus. Unfortunately, we ended up about eight minutes away from the apartment, dragging large suitcases on a very hot day. Thankfully, I was able to contact Monia via WhatsApp, and she responded promptly to help us find the correct location. One suggestion would be to improve communication for international guests. Monia mentioned that she speaks very little English, although I found her English to be quite good. At times, however, there seemed to be a communication barrier, especially when speaking over the phone. Having someone available who is fluent in English, or providing more detailed written check-in instructions in English, would make the arrival process even smoother for guests travelling from abroad. Another small point is that I wasn't sent the lockbox code before arrival. I had to contact Monia to request it, and she sent it straight away. It would be helpful if the code and all check-in details were automatically shared on the day of arrival so guests can access the property without needing to ask. The most frustrating part of the experience was unlocking the apartment door itself. We spent around 15–30 minutes trying to work out how the smart locking system operated. Once I figured it out, I actually thought it was a clever and secure system, but clear instructions—or even a short video demonstration—would save future guests a lot of time and confusion. Nos gusto todo, la casa en general, es lo que se ve en la fotos. Es muy amplia y esta muy bien ubicada. Además el propietario estuvo muy pendiente de nosotros y se adaptó a nuestro horario de llegada para podernos entregar las llaves del apartamente. Muchas Gracias
