About this house rental
**WE ARE NOW OFFERING 3 NIGHT'S STAY ONLY BETWEEN THE DATES OF JUNE 13-19 & JULY 18-31.**
*We are now offering the use of our 2 kayaks year round for our renters during their stay. Enjoy watching the dolphins from the "Czech Mate", that has a private beach to the Mississippi Sound/Bay side! Our home is just a short walking distance to West End Beach. Enjoy picturesque views of the water (Gulf & Sound) from every window! This beautiful home has granite counter tops, tile flooring, crown molding, & an open floor plan. Relax on the back porch watching the wildlife & boats on the beautiful Bay side or from the front of the house by watching & hearing the Gulf of Mexico waves. Only steps to the beach of the Sound & to the Gulf. You can kayak in the Sound right behind the house. A bike path goes from the West End through town. You can bring your own bikes or rent one up the road. There are 4 bedrooms, sleeps 8 (3 queen beds, 2 twin beds, & 2 roll away cots). 2 bathrooms with the master bath having a walk-in & shower. Linens & towels are provided. The house has fiber internet. Pet friendly (limit of 2 dogs & non-refundable). Pet fee is $75 per dog if 2 dogs. $100 for one dog. No smoking is allowed. There are 5 tv's (1 in each bedroom & 1 in the great room with a DVD player). The t.v. in the great room is a smart t.v.. The dining table seats 6 & there are 4 bar stools at the breakfast bar. Amenities include: Outdoor shower, internet, dishes, utensils, electric griddle, crock pot, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, stainless steel refrigerator, coffee maker, washer/dryer, toaster, board games, books, dvd's, & charcoal grill under the house. The Mississippi Sound/Bay side has great fishing, & dolphins are often sighted from both the Gulf & the Sound. You can kick back & relax in the porch swing or rope swing under the house.
To access the Gulf beach, just walk a few steps across the road & you can set up a canopy tent, chairs, etc. This is free to do. For the Mississippi Sound/Bay side beach, just walk down the back steps of the house & you have your own private beach up to the Sound. West End Beach is also close to the house.
Please have your dogs on a flea & tick prevention medicine. Just for your information, the Town of Dauphin Island requires all dogs to be on a leash and properly secured when outdoors and also requires that dog waste from rental property yard, beaches and public areas be picked up and properly disposed of. We know you will enjoy our home as much as we do!

Beach house was clean, tidy well organized easy to find anything that was needed perfect spot for having the ocean on one side and the bay on the other would stay there again would recommend it all my family and friends

Had a great time! Beautiful sunsets seen from the back porch. Watched dolphins swim right in front of the house. House was comfortable, clean, and accommodating. We have been visiting Dauphin island for years and this was one of the best homes we have stayed in. Fishing and crabbing was hot. Wish the house had a water hose underneath for cleaning fish and chairs and such. But that was the only issue. Host was very communicative as well. We had fantastic trip.

This is one of the best properties I have stayed in on the island. It is 20 steps up (for those with worn joints who count) which is a few less than many. The house was clean and pretty much everything we needed for cooking was in the cabinets. Four bedrooms with two Jack and Jill bathrooms. All the appliances and the a/c worked. There are a couple of swings under the house as well as a pair of kayaks and an inflatable raft. The house is technically located on the bay but is actually equidistant between the bay and the gulf. You do have to cross the road to access the gulf, but this is no problem. The week we were there, the waves on the gulf side caused red flag conditions, discouraging swimming. The bay side was much calmer and was our go to for playing in the ocean. The bay side has a small beach and the best sunrises and sunsets. The water on the bay side was not only calmer, but also clearer. The Dauphin Island wildlife area is literally steps west on the bay side if you like to go on a quick hike, maybe see some foxes. Overall this is great property for a couple or small family. Pet friendly too. Our mini dachshund loved the bay. There is good fishing in the bay if you have an angler in the bunch. I would recommend this place. Beautiful house, great location, and excellent communication with the hosts.

Had some issues with the refrigerator. Notified owner. After several texts back and forth, the issue was not addressed.
