Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved it! Quiet, walkable to town, lots of wildlife (river otters, kingfishers, ospreys, doves, owl, song birds, etc), trail along river gets you to beach on north side of river. Access to canoe, kayak launch (bring your own). House is really nice, good layout with lots of windows (though most storm windows were still on in August for some reason). Could still hear the ocean from the deck.

House was great! Pool was not available and that was disappointing- should let people know that it is no longer available after Labor Day. Also no access to the river- a clear walkway would be nice and a bench down by river. No barbeque also disappointing. Need a garbage at house. House was delightful and comfy- would stay again just for the house.

Well appointed "jewel box" house. One thing to note for summer travel: there are no window treatments of any kind, anywhere! I mean nothing. There is a skylight directly over the master bed. The sun rises at 5:30 in Yachats in the summer.

Cleanilness marginal. Sheets had micro fine hair all over them that won't photo at midnight. Ocean oddesy over charged me said I'd get a refund. It's August & no refund. I'm getting VRBO involved & my bank. I cancelled a day & management approved it & ran my card for the full amount.

We wish we could have stayed longer. It was the most beautiful cabin that was just perfect for our family. Our young kiddos slept downstairs and We spent the evening sipping wine on the porch listening to the river rush by. It felt so secluded yet so close to town. We would love to return!

Unit managers did not respond to questions left on the VBRO site. Unit managers did not reach out to me with access information without significant effort on my part. My Verizon phone had no service at the location. It is common and stated in their data on the counter that there is poor service. There were lots of spiders and spiderwebs

Our family of three often uses VRBO properties on vacations, so we have stayed in quite a few. This property is in a lovely neighborhood and was quiet and peaceful. There is a beautiful river running just behind the house, but the stairs and pathway down to the river have not been kept up so we did not find any easy way to access the river which was unfortunate. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook meals and the house was clean on the inside. The house has a stash of beach towels/toys for which we were very thankful as we did not bring our own since we flew to Oregon for this trip. The outside has not been maintained though. The windows and skylights were really dirty. I could not even see out of the skylight over the bed in the loft. The screen door going out to the lovely patio was missing the screen. One step to the front door was a bit loose. This home has fabulous windows that let in great light, some open to let in fresh air, but there are no window coverings, so there is no way to make rooms dark for sleeping in past sunrise if that matters to you. It is a fairly short walk to the downtown part of Yachats, but it is pretty steep trek, down hill to get there, up hill back to the house. We were after some peace and quiet for this part of our Oregon vacation, and this house definitely fit the bill. We would stay here again.

i really enjoyed staying here! I actually slept in the bay window because it was so cozy. My dog and i had a great time and spent fun times in yachats and then I'd have an IPA on the deck when we got back. very comfy!!

What a peaceful retreat! The home is in a small, quiet, neighborhood and backs to the Yachats River. Yet, is only a 5 minute walk to town or the beach. We come to Yachats often and will definitely return to this lovely home. If the owners are interested in selling, please let us know! We have been looking for a second home in Yachats and this would be perfect!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is lovely and open so it feels very spacious. It can be loud for others unless on the lower level, but we didn't mind hearing each other throughout. The decks make it nice to overlook the river and the neighborhood is very peaceful. The house could have been much cleaner, as there were several cobwebs very visible in each room. My only complaint is that the windows do not have screens, and many have aopabe of glass on the outside, so even when they did open it was hard to get fresh air. The window I did open upstairs did not have a screen and a friendly bat got it in. So needless to say, we had some excitement getting it out, but all was not lost - we still loved it. Peter, the property manager was more than helpful and is very kind, thank you, Peter!

Reviewer Comments: This was an amazing experience: location is walking distance to town and restaurant, you can see river from the porch and fun blue Steller's jays. There is no dishwasher in the unit, but there is a washer and dryer and lots of towels and the owners left soaps, detergent, shampoo products, sunscreen, bug repellent, lots of extra blankets and bedding. Also, great large fridge and large chef's sink. We loved the unique lighting fixtures throughout the house. Upstairs bathroom has a large tub and first floor has a rain-shower head style and other modern faucet features. We loved that each separate space came with its own heat control/knob. Also, really enjoyed the fireplace. The bed upstairs was on the softer side, so we slept in the basement where there was plenty of space on harder-cushion couches, so depending on your preference, various sleeping spaces are available :-) We loved the upstairs enclosed balcony and that there was another open porch leading from the basement. Highly recommend this cozy, adorable, well-maintained, rustic structure with modern features, airy and spacious house :-)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this cabin at least three times. It has great views of the river and mountains. It is comfortable, private and quiet. There's plenty of room and the three baths are a welcome feature. The town Yachats itself is fun and very easy to get to.The property is a little tired and could use some routine care (the screen door hasn't been repaired in two years), but nothing that would keep us from coming back. Other than having no washcloths, the baths and kitchen was fairly well appointed.Will we book it again? Yes! It isn't perfect, but it is a good deal and the wonderful location does make it a special treat.
