About this cottage rental
HILLBORNE COTTAGE is a self-contained two bedroom cottage in the beautiful Perth Hills at Sawyers Valley. Hillborne borders on, with safe easy access, to the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail, the KEP Track (walk, cycle., horse ride) and the National Trust Golden Pipeline Heritage Drive (Mundaring Weir to Kalgoorlie) and Alps Reserve.
The cottage is perfectly situated for bush walkers, cyclists, and horse riders with numerous tracks and trails all within a stone's throw of "Hillborne", about 5 mins drive, 15 mins off road cycle ride from Mundaring and 45 minutes from Perth. The Munda Biddi Trail, one of the worlds longest off road cycle trails starts in Mundaring.
The cottage, has very comfortable two bedroom accommodation with a queen bed and a second bedroom with two king singles. It has a fully equipped kitchen, sitting and dining area with TV, DVD player, reverse cycle air-conditioning in the living areas, fans in the bedrooms. A large veranda with BBQ to enjoy the beautiful views over the valley and the spectacular glow of the last rays of the sun disappearing up the gum trees.
All linen and towels provided. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar provided and our own free range eggs when available. PLEASE NOTE : MINIMUM TWO NIGHT STAY.

We welcome horses, by request, the paddock in front of the cottage is
available for visiting equines.
PLEASE NOTE: Access to the cottage is up a short flight of stairs to the verandah, this could be a problem for guests with mobility issues.

Gorgeous little get away. Has everything you can think you'll need plus more. The view is just stunning and we especially loved the horses! Melissa was very accommodating, allowing us to bring 2 larger dogs as per requested. Even though the power went out during our stay (storms fault!), Melissa had a generator as back up and she didn't skip a beat! We love this little place and will definitely come back!

Another beautifully relaxing time at Hillbourne - our second stay here! Love that we can bring our dog, he enjoyed roaming freely around the cottage paddock and the local bushwalks we were able to take him on. The eggs provided from the farm hens made a delicious breakfast, and we were easily able to get the fire pit going at night with the provided firewood and starters. Such a lovely little breath of country life only 40mins drive out of Perth, but truely feels like you are hours away from the city!
