You’ll enjoy stunning, panoramic views from this pretty single-level oceanfront home south of Newport. Located just a block from Highway 101, you’ll feel worlds away as you experience the quiet and privacy of the large lot and elevated deck above the waves. It’s a short walk to an easy beach access, giving you miles of sandy beach to explore.

You’ll find this home clean, roomy and beautiful, with its white rock hearth, gleaming hardwood floors, wood-lined walls and inset fireplace. Western light streams in the wall of windows, and a glass door takes you out on the deck for barbecues and lounging in Adirondack chairs in the ocean breeze. The dining room and separate, fully equipped kitchen make it easy to dine in. The comfortable bedrooms include one king bedroom suite, another king and a room with two twin beds. Thank you for an amazing stay. Comfortable house with basic supplies. Local restaurants and markets close by with great options. Once the sun greeted us, the deck was our favorite spot. The living room was also a comfy viewing area in the rain. Loved all the cozy blankets. Nice walkable neighborhood too. We will be back.

Well laid out generous living spaces take advantage of the sensational oceanfront/view. Two of the three bedrooms have magnificent views along with the living room. We were a little surprised by the lack of being able to make or receive cell phone calls, esp when we all have an exceptional mobile company. We seemed to be able to text to our adult children in different states. So, the next day we had to go out and but our own batteries for all 3 of the remotes. The furniture is well placed and pretty comfortable. Nice small yard, with no access to ocean from yard. It was concerning that we could not reach the hosts or managers as I tried to call, and text with no response. Luckily it was not an emergency; the batteries were dead in all the remotes, and the replacements were leaking and too old. We also needed small things like hand soap. There are some useful ingredients in kitchen, like extra virgin olive oil, spices and Modena vinegar. The tea kettle handle came unglued and fell off when I tried to use it. But overall kitchen is well equipped. Excellent lighting with end tables and lamps and overhead lighting some dimmable so the ambiance is homey and cozy. The fireplace really added to our enjoyment and the nite we used it was chilly. Access to all the streaming apps easy as WiFi is great. Would love to rent again as rentals go it's in top 3%.

The home is very old and has a distinct odor. It was enough of an odor that I had to buy some air fresheners in order to stand it. The house is surface clean, but not deep clean. The baseboards and walls are quite dirty. The showers are very small and almost feels like you’re in an RV. The bed was comfortable and the garage was useful. The laundry room was very helpful and convenient. Access to the beach is a little bit of a treck, but the beach is beautiful and almost deserted. The view is incredible! The sunsets are unbeatable!

Nice play to stay. Fantastic view of the Pacific. The old oven still works. My favorite part was the master suite had matching shower basin, sink, and wall mount toilet. The read leather chair in the den is awesome. Hope we did everything correct on check out. Sorry if we did not.

The property seemed to have everything one might need, for all ages. The beach was delightful to walk on and very private as only the neighbors seemed to use it. We were given a garage door opener and enjoyed being able to park out of the weather. There were more toys and supplies stored in the garage, including a separate shower. Our dog enjoyed the immaculate grounds and walking along the private road meeting the neighbors' dogs as they walked. It was very foggy some days when we were there, but sitting on the porch and listening to the ocean while reading was delightful. When it was clear enough to see the ocean too, it just couldn't get any better.

Whale of a View is one of our favorite vacation spots. We love the location — so close to Newport, Seal Rock, and Waldport. We love the view and having a back yard for the dog. We love the house layout and simplicity. This year we had the added delight of meeting our next door neighbors, the property owners! Their simple kindness was a sweetener for us. As we drove away on the morning of our departure, we genuinely appreciated them seeing us off. We will always hope to return for repeat stays here. It’s a good one!

Nice clean place, friendly neighborhood. Quite and peaceful place. Beds were very comfortable , The view is spectacular, however there is no beach access at near the house. You can walk or drive a short distance to the beach access. We did see whales from the deck

Photo's online were what we found. The ocean view was wonderful. The bathroom in the main bedroom has a wall heater that doesn't turn off and the tub and shower unit was may be 3 foot square.....extremely small. Kitchen well stocked. No beach access. Would I stay there again? Probably.

The TV had 4 remotes. The renters had ages above 70 years of age. What to do with 4 remotes and no directions written out. We called the management people but of course they had no idea. They put in a work order and a guy came by in the morning. But some written help would have been nice that first night with no TV. We barely knew how to turn on the TV.

What we loved: * upon entering, cleanliness & clean smell (no heavy cleaning or dog odors). * location about 3 miles S of Newport bridge * comfortable furniture * close & gorgeous ocean view, including from 2 bedrooms * warm with multiple heating controls What we didn't like: *no forewarning in house description of extremely limited phone cell service, which was a problem because we couldn't receive an expected call from New York. * front yard was littered with a large dog's feces, including on top of low bushes. Not fully cleaned up, even after noted via an agency call * using fireplace (with permanent damper open, according to sign) resulted in a pretty smoky house
