Hotel Sun Blue

The staff were accommodating and let us check in at 4am, which was a big help. The location was excellent — close to the beach and within easy walking distance to the town & Uppuveli Beach

The room wasn’t made up when we arrived, which was a little disappointing, though I assume it was because we checked in so early.

La struttura è molto pulita, con una stanza spaziosa e un bagno ampio, entrambi ben tenuti. Dotata di aria condizionata e ventilatore a soffitto, offre un soggiorno confortevole anche nelle giornate più calde. La posizione è ottima: la spiaggia si raggiunge a piedi in soli cinque minuti e nelle vicinanze si trovano diversi ristoranti. Per spostamenti un po’ più lontani, è facile trovare un tuk-tuk a buon prezzo. Il personale è molto gentile e attento, rendendo il soggiorno ancora più piacevole.

Al momento, di fronte alla struttura c’è un cantiere, ma durante il nostro soggiorno non ci ha dato particolarmente fastidio.

The hotel was near the beach. When we arrived the air condition not working, we told the receptionist. After twenty minutes came service and repaired it. they had beer for us after long way to hotel.

The breakfast is simple and expensive, so is better to eat outside. there was a cockroach in the bathroom. is better to close window and also door.

De bedden zijn comfortabel en de airco werkt prima.

Het ligt in een steegje wat als het donker is niet heel veilig voelt. De receptie is een plaats zonder enige sfeer en het voelde compleet verlaten toen wij er waren. Daarnaast waren er geen handdoeken op de kamer, hier moesten we om vragen. En toen we wilden gaan slapen bleek er ook geen deken aanwezig te zijn. Qua hygiene liet het wat te wensen over, er zaten veel haren in het putje van de douche. Uit de kraan van de wasbak kwamen maar enkele druppels water. Zeer matige ervaring hadden wij en we snappen de hoge waardering van dit hotel dan ook niet. Er mag wat meer aandacht en onderhoud aan besteed worden, dan is het de waardering misschien wel waard.
