Best trip in the most adorable town :)

Gianluca was truly the best host we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly personable—he made us feel instantly at home. The property was absolutely beautiful, spotless, and so thoughtfully arranged with care and intention. All facilities worked perfectly and the space had everything we needed. What really made our stay so special was how genuinely invested Gianluca was in making sure we had the best possible experience. He gave us amazing local recommendations—and was always just a message away if we had any questions. He was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay, which gave us such peace of mind. We would feel lucky to be hosted again here in the future :)

Bright, easy-to-access, clean apartment with beautiful view over village of Manarola

Location has a beautiful view out of Manarola. Our host was friendly, welcoming and shared lots of helpful information about how to get the most out of our experience.

We could not figure out how to turn on the towel warmer, but that was minor. Also, there are small touches we've experienced at other places that would take the experience at this place to an even better level, such as a small welcoming basket/bottle of wine and ample soaps and shampoos for the shower.

Beautiful apartment in Manarola! Excellent host.

Our host was an absolute angel and so so kind who took the time to wait for us at the train station despite a very late and delayed arrival. He also walked us to the apartment. He gave excellent recommendations of where to eat in town. The view from the apartment is also spectacular. Apartment itself is clean and well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

It was fine for us, but the walk up to the apartment is quite steep. I can see how that might be difficult for someone with bad knees. I would still stay here again despite that though.

Perfect apartment in Manarola, our favourite village in 5 Terre

The apartment was exactly as described, one large bedroom and comfortable sofabed in living area. Very clean and well kept, good kitchen and bathroom and air conditioning. Nice little outdoor sitting area if you feel like relaxing with aperitivo. Host Gianluca was so kind and gave us lots of great information for our stay. He even helped with our luggage. Easy to communicate with. Thank you for a great experience. Matthew and Surinah.

Perfect and comfortable accommodation with spectacular views and the best host Gianluca

It was the most wonderful experience. Gianluca was kind enough to pick us up at train station upon arrival and also helped us store our luggage and then helped us bring them down to the train station upon departure. The apartment was beautiful, modern and fully equipped with what one needs when on vacation. It was clean and comfortable and has the most spectacular views from the windows of the village below, the vineyards as well as the ocean and cliffs. It was very romantic and picturesque. I wish to stay longer:

Manarola - incredible location

Our first trip to the Cinque Terra area and we were so pleased with our home base stay in Manarola. The location is an easy walk from the train station. Gianluca met us and helped us with our luggage as he gave us a short tour of the town as we walked to the apartment. He explained where to eat and how the walking pass works and sent messages with links to the restaurant locations he recommended. Reservations are needed for some of the restaurants since they are fairly small. The apartment is furnished beautifully and is very clean. The bed is comfortable and there are extra pillows and an extra blanket in the wardrobe. We never cooked a meal, but everything is in the kitchen that you could want to do so. We brought home some take away pasta from the location in Manarola to eat in the apartment and made coffee in the kitchen. Another time we brought home gelato and had it outside on the patio at the little table. Each evening we walked up the little alley way to see the sunset. It's simply breathtaking. We had a discount from Gianluca for walking on the Via dell' Amore, which we could use for the duration of our stay in Manarola. You do need to purchase a pass, which he explains. I highly recommend walking on it ... It is a newly reopened (short walk ... maybe 20 minutes) pathway and connects Manarola with the town to the south, Riomaggiore. While in the area, we took the ferry to see Monterosso. Seeing Cinque Terra from the ferry on the water was a fantastic way to experience the beauty of the region. We felt very relaxed, safe and comfortable the whole time we were there. It's definitely a beautiful area and a great place to stay. Gianluca is a wonderful host! I highly recommend!

Wonderful location and apartment in Manarola. Great staff. Highly recommend.

The host was incredibly kind - when we had car troubles, he kept in close contact with us sharing recommendations for alternate ways to get to the city / places to stay should we get stranded. Also, when we were able to get to his town, he stayed FAR past the check in period to make sure we got there safely and felt acclimated.

Just amazing. Can’t wait to come back

Spotlessly clean, Gianluca was super helpful (we got in very late and he stayed around to check us in and helped up find our way from Pisa.. we would’ve been lost without him!! He couldn’t do enough to help us. I would recommend this area and property to anyone (lots of steps though, bring comfortable shoes!!)

The best views of Manarola! Incredible stay, 100% recommend.

Gianluca couldn’t do enough for us. He messaged on WhatsApp the day before arrival to organise meeting us at the station, carried our bags for us and showed us around the apartment. The apartment was clean, he checked in regularly that we had everything we needed and provided recommendations on the best restaurants. The best part was definitely the views, WOW they alone are enough for a 5* review! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Nothing, the apartment and host were great. On hot nights keep the air con on and windows closed so the apartment stays more cool and you aren’t woken by the bells in the morning :)

Best Town to be in for exploring Cinque Terre

Location was great. Room was large, clean and comfortable. We had a kitchen which was a nice option as we had been wanting simpler meals. The views were amazing as our room was perched on the hillside. We wished we had a balcony to enjoy these vistas. Location was terrific for exploring Cinque Terre towns. Apartment is near train station, beach area, restaurants, trail, etc. This is not for anyone with mobility issues as you are either walking up or down inclines constantly. Make sure you explore the town of Levanto.

Communication regarding accessing apt key. Insist on meeting at the address of the proprietor who will then escort you to your apt. We were to meet at a bench near the pharmacy and hook up didn’t happen. We ended up looking for the proprietor who lives 100 m uphill from the bench!

The host met us by the train station was was very friendly and provided a lot of useful information. She even made dinner reservations for us. The room was large and clean with a great view of the harbor and the whole town.

Great spot to stay for a fun vacation in a gorgeous place!

Central location with super fast WiFi. Incredibly clean! Nice porch for breakfast after buying coffee and pastries 4 min walk away. Partial ocean view and gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains from the porch and bedroom window. Eraldo met us after our train and showed us the apartment; very kind and great communication!

We knew it didn’t have air conditioning so we kept the windows open with the fan going (but a lot of foot traffic from early travelers and late night parties going home was loud). Got woken up by 7am church bells every morning.

Beautiful sunsets from the balcony

Manarola was a perfect choice out of the 5 towns, romantic, picturesque and quiet. Da paulin apartments are the best! Loads of space and the hosts are so welcoming! They met us at the train station, we ate breakfast at their café and enjoyed the best view from our balcony. Do not miss the sunsets here...they're glorious. Truly magical, we will definitely be back!

The apartment was in a great location and was very clean and the bathroom and kitchen looked new. I left a toiletry bag behind when we left for the airport and the host was very quick to send me a message to let me know. Offering to post it to my home address.

Breakfast was not included but there was a nice kitchen with stove top, microwave, refrigerator.

The shower stall is not real big but it was fine for me but for a large person might be tight.

The location was excellent. A balcony overlooked the town and water. The owner was very nice and welcoming. Nice shower and bathroom. The king sized bed was comfortable, but squeaky.

The bed squeaks and the apartment lacked home/convenience touches. Old pillows on the bed -- and there were only two pillows in the apartment. Old extra blankets. Knives were blunt and hard to use.

We stayed at Da Paulin October 10 and 11, 2021 and wish it had been longer. Eraldo met us when we go there and walked us to our place. It was absolutely perfect. This was our first trip to Cinque Terre and not sure when I was making reservations if this was the best town - but it turned out to be. We would go back and stay at the same place without hesitation and will recommend it to everyone. It just made the trip so easy. The apartment was extremely clean and the views were incredible.
