Mitten in Manarola

Perfekte Lage mitten in Manarola. Gute Erklärung beim Check in, dadurch gut zu finden. Betten sind bequem und ausreichend groß. Die Wohnung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber ordentlich. Unglaublich viele Spiegel (wir haben 38 gezählt😂), viel Deko. Die Ausstattung ist nicht übermäßig aber ausreichend Wir hatten etwas Schwierigkeiten mit der Klimaanlage, aber mit Unterstützung hat es geklappt und wir konnten die Wohnung warm machen. Kontakt war unkompliziert möglich. Bar und Gaststätten sind nur wenige Minuten entfernt.

Die Aussicht ist leider nicht wirklich gut, aber man kann bei dieser Bebauung in Manarola nicht von jeder Wohnung Meerblick haben. An einer Ecke hat man immer den Himmel gesehen… Wohnung ist sehr hellhörig, die Wände sind teilweise nicht komplett bis zur Decke hochgezogen, dadurch und durch geschickte Glaseinbauten, aber auch genügend Licht trotz nur zwei Fenstern.

Beautiful town with a comfortable stay!

The town is small and easy to get around, as long as you don't mind the stairs. The place had a washer and we could hang our clothes out the window, which was perfect. Very comfortable stay and right off the main street, so easy access to everything.

Check out instructions were not clear and we didn't know where to put the trash when we left, that could've been communicated prior to the final day. There was not a book or anything to reference in regards to the apartment and expectations. Could use more converters, as we had to borrow the one for the microwave to use for the washing machine.

Superb

I highly recommend booking the apartment near the train station in Manarola. While there are stairs to reach it, this is common for apartments in the area. The location offers a wide selection of restaurants and cafes nearby. Additionally, they provide plenty of towels, ensuring a comfortable stay. Overall, it's a great choice for your visit to Manarola.

Please note that the apartment is small and lacks sufficient storage space for luggage. With four girls and four suitcases, we struggled to find adequate room. However we managed to put the suitcases in the living and kitchen… if space is a priority, it may be worth considering other options.

I would return to the town but not this apartment.

The location is a complete A+ or 5 stars. The town itself and the location of the apartment. Couldn’t ask for better. We also liked the on demand hot water for showers. We also loved swimming in the ocean off the rocks.

The place was FULL of stuff, Knick knacks, way too many cheap decorations on the walls and with the fake plants. Made the place feel cramped and dirty and old but not in a good way. The kitchen was near impossible to use in its configuration and lack of equipment. There were ants in our bedroom and they crawled on us all night long. And the wi-if did not work for most of our two night stay. Also, the directions said to turn RIGHT out of the train tunnel which sent us all the way to the top of the hill. What a terrible mistake that was - as you are not able to find the restaurant that you need to find for your next landmark/turn. Needs to be corrected to say LEFT.

location, pretty quiet area and close to everything

not much room to move around apart from living room not to bad. didn’t have an iron like it said. No mention of stairs said it was on first floor but from the Main Street to get there there is approximately 34 large stairs then when you open the front door another 17 to the apartment. A little hard with a lot of luggage as we had but we managed. The very large pot plant (plastic one) in the bedroom was very dusty on all the leaves, thick dust.

okay but not good value for money

apartment was in good location close to the sea and eating joints on the main road and well furnished..however, it felt claustrophic in the bedrooms as it had only one window in living room, that too overlooking the apartment across the narrow street.

AC did not work and the manager promised to refund some money, even took my IBAN, but never refunded a penny. it was too hot (35 degrees Celsius) without AC and no ventilation, just fans.

As others have stated, it should not be advertised as air-conditioned. There is one very under powered A/C in the lounge area, the accommodation is stiflingly hot and uncomfortable making it very difficult to sleep.

well presented fun interior. great location, to be able to stay in manarola once all the day visitors had left.

some of the utensils wouldn’t work on the induction hob … eg coffee press. 2 coffee capsules left for 5 guests, staying for 2 nights… would have been nice to have a coffee per person, each day. kitchen very snug… we knew this before we booked the property.

One of the bedrooms is open on the top to the sitting area. Sink is off in corner so a bit hard to get to. You need to park up the hill and walk down to the main area if town there are stairs as well on oath down so pack light. Directions were not that clear.

Prime location, good for family

Location is prime, right in the middle between the train station and the beach. Two bedroom and two bathrooms make it convenient for the family. We love the facilities, especially refrigerature and coffee maker. The kitchenware are more than enough, but we love to eat out. The owner sends the message to guide you to the right direction as the map does not identify the correct geo location. Be prepared for climbing up a lot of steps.

Very minor, No hanging closet in the small bedroom, no sturdy place to hang the towel. Dusting smell in the closet and make us sneeze for a big while.

Great Cinque Terre location but apartment a bit disappointing

Manarola is a very nice village with a lot of beautiful hikes in the neighbourhood. The apartment is in the centre of the village so a good location (although no sea or mountain view). There are two bathrooms which is very practical. The agency was very responsive when we had questions. The centre is pedestrian so if you come by car, expect to carry you luggage for about 10-15 minutes, going up and down stairs. There is very little parking space on the (paid) parking and even less on the road so you need to be lucky. The train is very easy and the station quite close to the apartment.

The person who had to pick us up was late (his previous clients were late). The fridge was not cleaned and there was no working washing machine (as mentioned in the ad, they said they would contact Booking to correct it). Each time we had a lot of apologies from the agency which also offered to pay for the laundry (in another village). As the only window is on the side of the kitchen, the rooms are very humid and with little daylight (maybe standard in the small Cinque Terre houses?). The sofa bed has a very thin mattress so really uncomfortable. We were a bit disappointed.

The host was easy to communicate with and the in-person check-in was smooth. The property is in a great location and has lots of nice touches for interior decorating.

The washing machine was not working and the Booking.com description listed this as an amenity. We had to go to another village to do laundry so that was inconvenient. It also listed AC as an amenity but each room only had fans and not AC units.

The location in the center of the village.

Climatisation out of order. There was a moldy smell in one bedroom. Equipment to cook was very limited with a small place to eat. Sink was also very small at one corner of the living room. Minimum explanation to reach the place. Not really suitable for families

The property has a perfect location in the center of Manarola, it’s well decorated and clean.

The water pressure is low, and water temperature cold. Overall the apartment was cold and humid.

Exceptional

Service was exceptional! Could you imagine that the owner even blocked for us with his own one of the rare free parking spots on the road! This goes well beyond usual service. Try to travel light as there are plenty stairs to get to the flat from the parking. Flat is next to the harbor and train station. Lovely, very quiet and outstanding service!

Perfect apartment with all you need

Gigi contacted us 1 day in advance to provide us with ideas how to arrive best (park in Le Spezia and take the train - it’s easier than carrying all things down from the hill where the parking is to the sea). We met Gigi and some of his friends in front of the sea and they helped us with our bags. They showed us the apartment and provided us with some quick info about all five terre. The apartment is super nice. You will find everything you need and lots more! You won’t miss anything. It was a great stay in the apartment. Definitely we would book it again and recommend it without any doubts.

Amazing location, incredible host, and super confort

FIrst off, the location is unbeatable. I was concerned at first because the location on Booking.com is not accurate (it's actually not as good as the actual location) and the address when you try to map is does not show up on Google Maps because they haven't mapped all the small "streets" in Manarola, But do not fear- this location is RIGHT by the waterfront and you will not have any trouble finding it. You'll save so much valuable vacation time (and energy!) selecting this apartment. You cannot ask for a better location. Nor a better host. Gigi is not your typical host- he is host extraordinaire! He is more like a personal assistant and concierge than a host. The apartment is very comfortable- the beds, including the sofa bed, were amazing. The owners obviously want the best for themselves and I feel so lucky to have had a chance to stay here a few days. If you are looking at this review and shopping places to stay, see my one caveat below and then reserve this one fast. IT IS A GEM! And it has the added bonus of being in Manarola, the best town of the Cinque Terre - thank you, GIGI!

My only advise is that maybe you reconsider renting this one if you have small children.. I stayed with my 3 teenagers and we were great. But if I had toddlers, I'd have been constantly worried that they would touch, grab and break something. There are so many cute little treasures and knick-knacks, many at a low level, that I fear the place will suffer some damage over time renting to young families. That said, it's beautiful for a two adult couples to share, or a mature family. Also, if you're looking to sit inside and enjoy a view, this may not your place. But the view is right outside the door and I don't suspect the Cinque Terre gets many visitors that don't like to walk.
